Our bland kitchen - help
Comments (20)Kitchen cabinets will look fantastic painted. The thing to consider when thinking about worktops is the work black granite creates - they show every little watermark, so need a lot of polishing. I discovered this when doing lots of experiments on granite samples! Other thing to bear in mind is granite is porous, so you have to be careful about staining the lighter coloured worktops and granite requires resealing after a few years. Because I'm quite lazy and didn't want any maintenance, plus we are a messy family, I went with Compac Quartz in white mirror, it's practically bomb proof and I haven't managed to stain it yet (3 years on). Comes in tons of colours....See MoreWhole house re-decor , for sale purposes
Comments (33)Hello Duncan, They are good and I am biased as I don't use companies that don't provide trade discount... as I usually like to help my clients out... Here's a few images and an edging on a runner can be lovely too... I have also included one of a painted stair... So you have an option all of which are rather striking.... : )) x http://www.naturalrugstore.co.uk/coir-rugs.asp?gclid=Cj0KEQjwiKS3BRCU-7XQ75Te3NoBEiQAA2t_xPmcwAZ3TS0Qhq1t1hzYsP-r8oFgdC385qXO88eXioYaAjCE8P8HAQ The painted one... Comments (22)These pictures are great, we will definitely do something with the small garden but I was thinking that the entrance floor which currently holds two living rooms will never be used unless we change this to the kitchen / living area as this is currently where we spend all our time. We could still have a small kitchenette in the basement next to the large sitting room to sit out on a nice day but otherwise I feel we will spend all our time on the entrance floor / first floor...See MoreSteel beam design dilemma
Comments (3)Yes, in the netherlands soil pipes are preferably as vertical as possible, and internal not exterior, the basin and shower drains all go in there to keep it wet and thus stay cleaner. And electrical wire needs to go into 12mm pvc, so over here the wire under would require glueing 12mm fillers to the steel. Yours doesn't, so instead of rewiring, you might as well leave it and box it in as is. I guess having the white pipe connected to the soil pipe would make the most difference, as the box width would significantly be reduced....See MoreEnova London
