Remodeled all white! Is that a bad thing?

We had so much fun with our house remodel! Our down stairs is all painted white now. Even the siding that is now on the interior of house is white. I think I love it, but I wanted to get some opinions! I'll give you a little background on our project and a before and after shot!
We took a 1987 traditional style house, and built in old character and added some modern flairs. This was done by taking out the flawless blond maple hardwood and putting in reclaimed hardwood with lots of character out of an old tobacco warehouse. We put a modern edge to the kitchen with the gray shaker cabinets, more industrial cabinet pulls, and modern yet classic marble countertop with white subway tiles! We added lots of character to the ceiling by exposing the rafters, (which required creative electrical wiring) but looks so neat! We kept the siding (that was the exterior of the house) in the new living room addition for added character!

Comments (8)You really don't have any color scheme going on in here. I do see a gold range so I worked around that. Here are some ideas of colors you could add . I'm not crazy about accent walls, but you do need to add color to at least one of your walls - be it intense or even just a tint of color: Sherwin Williams Jetstream Sherwin Williams Sprout Sherwin Williams Composed I also added in a white or off white (or you could do color) back splash over your stove and counters. Once you have some color then you can add window dressings. I suggest roman shades, which you can get in many patterns and colors. Comments (73)I think it looks great so far. Many of the ads for claw foot tubs, and magazines, show them with encaustic/cement tile and plain white surround. Also, you did something creative and attractive with the tile layout. I love the nickel shine of your clawfoot legs too. If you can maybe get a corner shelf on one side of the wall, you'll have a place for soap, candle or bubble bath. And maybe hotel towel holder on another wall to get the height up. 9 years agoWow, thank you! I am SO excited to hear your feedback! I just realized that Houzz cropped my picture down, so here they are so you can see the full room. I really am loving the bright crispness of the white! I tried to add some contrast pieces, in texture on the wall (siding) and cabinets/floor. I am not a professional, but I really enjoyed this design process!
