Comments (74)Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. Thanks, Laurie...See MoreWin an iPad - Vote for your favourite Irish photo!
Comments (145)I love the cabin in the woods, its a intimate setting where you are drawn to the outside whilst keeping snug indoors. The use of fabrics sets it apart from the usual cold designs of other modern rooms. The attention detail in the selection of furniture pieces keeps it modern yet functional....See MoreAdvice with a F&B grey!
Comments (0)Hi everyone, I think we have decided to paint our living room one of the F&B greys. I love them all and originally wanted to go bold with Mole's Breath but as it is a small room, lots of people have said it will close the room in too much. Now we are thinking of cornforth white which I hope will be warm. I am wondering what colour to paint skirting, doors etc? Pointing would match woodwork in rest of house but I am worried if might be too cream and should we go with all white. Any advice greatly appreciated!...See MoreDark Kitchen - Light Floor - Advice Needed :)
Comments (0)Hi All, We are buying a new house which comes with a generic kitchen. We plan to upgrade and change colours, get a quartz countertop etc. We had our heart set on a light grey wood style floor. but my question is around what type of floor. We originally thought laminate throughout the whole downstairs, but then were put off as people were saying it was a bad idea for kitchens. Then we started thinking of wood effect tiling, but the idea of dirty grout kinda sways me away from that. Here's a rough photoshop of what we're thinking - disregard the wonky floor :) Any advice?...See Moreceramic artisan
