“LOTUS LANDSCAPE DESIGN When you are passionate about your garden, choosing a landscape designer that suits your needs can be pretty daunting. In the spring of 2016 we had a beautiful but sadly neglected two-acre garden in Enniskerry Co. Wicklow. The site was in need of extensive renovation requiring both soft and hard landscaping. Several large trees needed to be removed for safety, large areas of brambles cleared, new lawns sown, new flower beds laid and irrigated and older beds rejuvenated; hundreds of metres of new pathways and perimeter fencing were required and a new entrance and driveway (framed with new planting) needed to be designed and built. Given the scale of the works, we interviewed several contractors. The one niggling concern we had was that most of Vyvian’s previous projects had been in rather exotic locations in the south of France, with different terrain, weather, soil and plant choices.
