“Where to begin? That was our dilemma. We had been in our home for 30 years and had a long list of items that needed to be addressed. Most of our mature trees had recently been taken out, but we still had a tremendous amount of existing plants in our backyard. We had a vision, but didn't know how to bring it to life. Have you ever visited your friendly garden center in an attempt to gain advice? You bring home the "perfect plants" and put them in the ground, only to find yourself digging them out several years later? That was our experience, over and over again. We realized that we needed someone to listen to our vision and help us put the pieces in place. We were introduced to Bill Tamburro. He listened, really listened to what my husband and I wanted to accomplish. Planting a privacy screen with evergreens across the back of our property was our first priority. Low maintenance and less money spent on mulch was our second and third priority. Because we love to "collect" roses, peonies, hydrangeas, etc., a beautiful flow and design, that would accommodate all of our favorites was also important to us. Bill delivered on every element. He drew up a workable plan for our sloped backyard which eased the chore of mowing a steep bank. Bill also helped us choose the correct trees, evergreens, perennials and groundcovers to fit the space and keep maintenance to a minimum. Most importantly, Bill designed a framework with boundaries which gives our gardens a cohesive look for timeless beauty. The professional, expert advice we received was well worth the time and investment we made. We would like to work with Bill again next year when we redo the landscaping in our front yard.”
