“We hired Ellene to draw a plan for our home renovation, which involved enlarging our kitchen, enclosing a sunroom, and reconfiguring an existing den. While other neighbors with the same model house had done projects to expand their kitchens, we wanted to use the combined space to get an additional bedroom, small bathroom, and larger kitchen while at the same time only reducing the den slightly. After taking measurements, Ellene spent hours discussing with us how we could best use the space to meet our needs. She asked detailed questions to make sure we would have adequate storage, that the kitchen would conveniently accommodate appliances large and small, and that the new layout would work for our busy family. She was a valuable resource as we made decisions about types of appliances, pantry design, and much more. Five years after the renovation was completed, I can say the money we paid Ellene (just a tiny percentage of the total project!) was money very well spent. She was also very helpful with suggesting the use of under cabinet power strips to move electrical outlets/switches to make the back splash tiles uncluttered. She arranged and kept all of the work on a timeline that fit our schedule. She made numerous on site visits (a 40 min. drive for her) during the work and after the job was completed. We could not be happier with the time that she spent with us in planning and executing this project. Her expertise was indispensable in bringing it all together in a beautiful finished product that we are very proud of.”
