The layout downstairs was very tight, no storage, no flow, no matter where you stood you were in the way, we decided to increase the lower level of the house by adding on an extension. It was important to us that the space ‘worked’ in the best possible way and so we engaged Jane to re-design the layout of the ground floor fully, incorporating a new kitchen, cloakroom and open plan sitting room. Jane’s plan and use of the space was incredible. She took every aspect of our needs into account and tweeked her plan throughout. I found the lighting design really difficult as we had a dark hallway which contrasted with our very bright dining and sitting rooms plus different height ceilings but Vyvyan expertly guided us through it and made it all seem easy. She has a very creative background and that came through when styling the rooms, giving each a very individual style and colour pallet while still all flowing together.
