Vyvyan helped us to design a space that was functional for our busy family. We needed a lot from the space - toy storage, a workspace and a place where we can all retreat to for family time. The end result ticked all the boxes for us and we were really happy with it. Vyvyan really listened to what we needed and spent lots of time with us. She also recommended a reliable cabinet maker. I had no recommendations and took a chance choosing Vyvyan through Houzz. I was so satisfied! Vyvyan was so helpful and pleasant. She always arrived on time for appointments and was always prepared . As my project changed from what I initially set out to do she adapted with me and her advice with colour and fabric was so worthwhile. I would have no hesitation in using Vyvyan again in the future.

Contacting Vyvyan for our new home was the best decision we made. We had all these ideas in our head but Vyvyan made sense of them and collated our long wish list into a coherent storyboard with great new additions. Vyvyan was our necessary guru when we bought our new house. When my partner and I hired Vyvyan, the mission was clear: guiding us with preparing our home for us to move in/settle in, taking into consideration a tight budget but also with a design plan for future extension of the design project. Vyvyan accomplished all that and beyond! Not only did Vyvyan plan the design itself but she also could connect to all sorts of traders and suppliers necessary to furnish our home, carry out the layout modifications we needed, and decorate the house, from builders and electricians to kitchen and lighting companies. We had a very particular demand for our house: a fully functional kitchen island to compose our quite generous kitchen space, that could both provide us with more working space/additional sink when cooking together and function as a fun space when friends come to hang out in. Vyvyan was 100% engaged in delivering what we demanded, and we're now very happy with the results (now exhaustively tested and approved by our many friends at this stage). Not to mention this big challenge: moving in before Christmas, which initially seemed so unrealistic but Vyvyan made it all possible! Vyvyan is an excellent and trustworthy professional, and personally very pleasant, I would no doubt recommend her to anyone.

I hired Vyvyan after seeing the beautiful job she did on my friends house, and knew I could really do with help sorting our extension to an external office/granny flat and interior renovation of our living area in the main home and addition of a living area (covered patio) outside. With both of us working full-time it was brilliant to hand over all the work to Vyvyan. She was able to re-purpose our old kitchen to re-use in the office kitchen, by mapping everything out on computer – she worked extremely well with our builder, who said it ended up being the smoothest job he ever worked on. She sourced all the materials (tiles, paint, bar stools, furniture, giving us mood boards and working with us closely to ensure we liked everything) and choose a beautiful, bold, colour scheme that we absolutely love. She did up all the costings (with the builder and providers). She asked us what we wanted in a kitchen and worked directly then with the kitchen manufacturer to get it done. She saved us a LOT of time and money overall. We have been in our new living space a year now, and literally cannot fault it – we love it, the kitchen is perfect, and the outdoor space is to die for, such a beautiful space. She is also great for ideas for repurposing things you already have to save money. Anyway, I could not recommend Vyvyan highly enough – if you want someone who will work with what you want, within budget, and who has brilliant ideas, a great sense of space and what we use it for, with a smile on her face the whole time – she is the best!

Contacting Vyvyan was the best decision I made when I was upgrading my kitchen. Her ideas and guidance helped me to choose what I wanted. I suppose I had the idea and Vyvyan brought it to life. I still love walking into my kitchen! The new lighting, counter tops, wall colours, cabinet colours and flooring we chose make my kitchen look fresh and co-ordinated. We called on Vyvyan to help us proceed with a kitchen renovation that we had been planning for years but couldn't quite move the project forward. From the moment she walked in the door we knew we were in safe hands. She was the consummate professional and listened intently to our long wishlist of all we were trying to achieve. She came up with solutions to things that we didn't think would be possible within the space we had available to us. We felt so confident following her initial consultation that we immediately hired a builder to proceed with the renovation and six months later we have our dream kitchen. We would highly recommend Vyvyan to anyone embarking on any home projects. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her and she was always available for a call and replied to emails promptly. Whilst she listened to our ideas, she never tried to impose any other style on us but came up with some wonderful ideas that complimented ours. We are absolutely thrilled with our kitchen transformation!

We used VB Design for the renovation of our period home and I couldn’t recommend her more. From choosing colours for the front of the house to designing the layout of bathrooms and the kitchen, Vyvyan was instrumental in getting our home renovation finished on time and on budget. I found the lighting design really difficult as we had a dark hallway which contrasted with our very bright dining and sitting rooms plus different height ceilings but Vyvyan expertly guided us through it and made it all seem easy. She has a very creative background and that came through when styling the rooms, giving each a very individual style and colour pallet while still all flowing together. I like many styles and colours and she worked with me to express my style but adding her flair, advice and design know how while taking the stress away from me. Would recommend highly to anyone.
