We were impressed with the time and dedication they showed in producing a very well laid out and costed specification based on our initial plan. They are very particular paying careful attention to detail and have built up an excellent team of skilled contractors who all worked to an extremely high standard. They managed to work around us, whilst we continued living in the property, ensuring that we had basic services available at all times - much appreciated in the winter months. During the build Nick Turner was onsite to supervise, and otherwise, was quick to respond to email and texts and kept us informed of any delay or snags. Nick Crick (Customisation King) proposed practical solutions to any problems that arose and they were both particular in leaving the site immaculate at the end of the project. They proved flexible and always listened to our requirements producing a superb end result. “Our major project had 3 distinct phases, which at the outset could have been either 3 projects or an integrated project. We were so happy with the first renovation project of the historic barn that we progressed with the extension to, and renovation of, our period farmhouse and the creation of a linked pool and leisure area. James at Bournesouth coordinated the tender processes, assembled and managed the team of builders and allied trades (from people he knew, had worked with and were used to working as a team) to deliver a first class project on time and on budget. His intimate knowledge of the processes and the interaction/potential conflicts of the specialist trades allowed him to anticipate issues before they arose and in close consultation with us to deliver the project to our complete satisfaction. “I have used the GD Group a for a couple of jobs in my old house; decorating my first child's nursery, landscaping my garden and re-vamping my kitchen. GD Group came to my house and gave me an estimate for the work and, on the whole, they stuck to it. I appreciate that when the design changed (because I changed my mind!) this effected the costs but they discussed this with me thoroughly beforehand and gave me all the options, so there were no 'hidden charges'. It felt like GD Group took the time to get to know me, what I was after and the style/nature of my home and this made a big difference. The Landscaping of my garden was a huge job and I was beyond pleased with the finished results, so much so that we seriously debated selling our house because we loved it so much. Funnily enough, its the first thing the buyer commented on for his viewing and it became one of the key selling points of the house. GD Group were really tidy around the site, they were always really polite and respectful of my home and belongings, which to me was really important. They turned up on time and did a good day's work. They came up with design ideas that I hadn't thought of; they really know their stuff. My kitchen re-vamp was a significantly cheaper job that the garden works, but I never once felt that they didn't take this job as seriously or give as much dedication because it was a smaller budget. The finish and work was excellent. I had used painters/decorators before and once they'd left I'd found a few 'snagging' bits that I wasn't happy with and trying to get them back in was a nightmare. I didn't have any of that with the GD Group. I am now in the process of getting the GD Group to come into my new home to do the works I need done. They have already suggested some excellent ideas for our garden that work in our budget; I need a space for adults and a space for young children in a relatively small garden and what they have suggested and designed works perfectly and is affordable for us. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the GD Group as finding a tradesperson/company that I can trust has been such a peace of mind for me, so much so that I haven't gone around getting quotes for my new house, I've just called them back in.”
