Robeson DesignDecorative Iron work, Custom Hand Forged Iron screens were used as window treatment embellishments between the Interior Courtyard and Garage of this luxury Southern California home. Geometric shapes combine to create a subtle yet striking division between the spaces. Installed within the window casings, the screens measure 24" X 48" allowing the viewer a subtly look from room to room while creating a decorative element within the space.
When Iron work in a home has traditionally been reserved for Spanish or Tuscan style homes, Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson finds a way to incorporate Iron in a new and fresh way using geometric shapes to transition between rooms. Custom welders followed Rebeccas plans meticulously in order to keep the lines clean and sophisticated for a seamless design element in this home.
All staircases and railings in this home share similar linear lines while window embellishments and room divider screens include softer curves to add grace to the geometric shapes.

Kristin Hoaglund DesignThis beautiful French Provincial home is set on 10 acres, nestled perfectly in the oak trees. The original home was built in 1974 and had two large additions added; a great room in 1990 and a main floor master suite in 2001. This was my dream project: a full gut renovation of the entire 4,300 square foot home! I contracted the project myself, and we finished the interior remodel in just six months. The exterior received complete attention as well. The 1970s mottled brown brick went white to completely transform the look from dated to classic French. Inside, walls were removed and doorways widened to create an open floor plan that functions so well for everyday living as well as entertaining. The white walls and white trim make everything new, fresh and bright. It is so rewarding to see something old transformed into something new, more beautiful and more functional.

This is a very well detailed custom home on a smaller scale, measuring only 3,000 sf under a/c. Every element of the home was designed by some of Sarasota's top architects, landscape architects and interior designers. One of the highlighted features are the true cypress timber beams that span the great room. These are not faux box beams but true timbers. Another awesome design feature is the outdoor living room boasting 20' pitched ceilings and a 37' tall chimney made of true boulders stacked over the course of 1 month.
Prime Construction & Remodeling LLCThe first goal for this client in Chatham was to give them a front walk and entrance that was beautiful and grande. We decided to use natural blue bluestone tiles of random sizes. We integrated a custom cut 6" x 9" bluestone border and ran it continuous throughout. Our second goal was to give them walking access from their driveway to their front door. Because their driveway was considerably lower than the front of their home, we needed to cut in a set of steps through their driveway retaining wall, include a number of turns and bridge the walkways with multiple landings. While doing this, we wanted to keep continuity within the building products of choice. We used real stone veneer to side all walls and stair risers to match what was already on the house. We used 2" thick bluestone caps for all stair treads and retaining wall caps. We installed the matching real stone veneer to the face and sides of the retaining wall. All of the bluestone caps were custom cut to seamlessly round all turns. We are very proud of this finished product. We are also very proud to have had the opportunity to work for this family. Wiedemann Architects LLCThe client is an avid collector of books. Her modest cape cod home provided little room for the collection and she realized that her home did not take advantage of the depth of her property. The rear yard was unlandscaped and sloped toward the rear of the house. The goal was to create a library that oriented to a rear garden and to create an exterior terrace which would address the slope of the property and form a sheltered outdoor space for dining and relaxation.
The solution was to create a library addition with a large bow window with built-in desk facing the newly formed upper garden. In collaboration with a landscape architect, we terraced the sloping site and created a courtyard between the garage and new library, sheltered by a pergola. The French doors added to the modest garage provide the other side of the courtyard.
Jeffrey ErbA dark backyard was given a new life with dramatic additions of built in planting beds, custom cut salvaged pavers, green screen trellis and a ton of charm. The reclaimed barn doors add a focal point to the east wall while the custom built two-tier planting system allows vines to fill this garden which spans two floors of the client's home.
