There comes a time in nearly every wine enthusiast’s life where a carefully curated selection deserves more than a kitchen cupboard for storing and displaying. A wine cellar is the connoisseur’s way of savoring and sharing his selection in a manner that only a select few from bygone eras were able to lap up.

As you can see, we included a space for wine glasses to hang in this Chicago wine cellar design; a useful and aesthetically pleasing accompaniment. The glass stemware rack is located above the arch display and tabletop, creating the perfect area at which to decant and sample wines. There are individual wine racks and high reveal display rows on both sides of the glass rack and tabletop. The glass walls and door provides a good view of the wine cellar from the bar and entertainment area. The compact space holds 157 standard bottles within the standard and scallop racking, enclosed with a custom glass door. The temperature of the space was originally effected by hot water pipes. We insulated the pipes to help stabilise the atmosphere within the room.
