Altura ArchitectsThe lower level can be considered the true “fun zone” of an already entertaining house. This space incorporates a family den, home theater, bar and wine room, and a golf simulator. Outside is a custom shaped, infinity-edge pool to fit the topography of the site. The pool uses natural stone to blend in with the house aesthetic. The pool features a large stone diving board and a swim up bar to the outdoor cabana. The cabana features a large flat screen TV on a swivel, so you can watch TV from the pool or from the outdoor kitchen under the cabana.

This raised hot tub measures 7'0" x 9'0", and features an automatic pool safety cover. Colored LED lighting sets the evening mood. The hot tub finish is Ceramaquartz, and the coping is Valder's Wisconsin Limestone. The deck around the hot tub and the pathway is Kodiak Granite Slab pavers. The rear yard stoop risers are clad in Chilton Rustic Royal Chateau, and the treads are Kodiak sandblasted Granite. The spa equipment is cleverly hidden utilizing a 48" Cedar wood fence. Waterpaw a division of Muddypaw LLCThis is a 25'x35'x4.5' recreational swimming pond in downtown Boyne City, MI. Built for a family with a toddler and teenager this Aquascape system relies on biomimicry for crystal clear water and safe water without the use of chemicals. Using a bog, intake bay, wetland and waterfalls to filter the water this pond remains clean and fun. When not being played in it is a beautiful thing to behold and with the lights installed the night vignettes are magical. The family has a pond house (pool house:) on the far side of the installation which was also designed and built by Waterpaw.

There is an antique ore cart and rail system that seems to appear from an old mine and gives the homeowner a unique iced-beverage cart. There are boulder steps that lead up to another "mine" entrance that is actually the entrance to the underground slide. This view shows the slide exit into the pool. In the background you can see the swim-through grotto and natural boulder waterfall with a 14' diving ledge. Hand cut native stone with boulders integrated into the stone retaining wall provides additional patio space with a fire pit above the pool.
