When you have a passion for collecting wine, you need to have a place to showcase and store the collection. We converted a finished area of the lower-level into a custom wine cellar. The cellar was constructed using ponderosa pine and premium redwood and can hold 1,138 bottles of wine. The walls were covered with moisture friendly pine tongue and groove paneling and a cooling unit was installed to keep every bottle at the perfect temperature.

A striking blend of stone, steel and wood elements combine in this refreshingly contemporary wine cellar. The light natural palette is reflected in the Douglas fir blocks for the focal piece, our VINIUM wine racking system. The inclusion of wine pegs against rustic tile accent walls, allowing for full label view, gives the displayed bottles a floating effect. Finished with a barrel ceiling of reclaimed cooperage, it is a warm and unique retreat.

The client added a decorative artwork at the center of the back wall within the lattice arch with a tabletop. The tabletop provides space for more bottles and wine accessories. Our team also added a stemware rack on each side of the arch.

Wine Cellar Specialists combined various styles of racking to create a unique wine storage and display area. We incorporated lattice diamond bins, curved corner wine rack, case storage bins, and a high-reveal display row.
We also added an eco-friendly flooring made from reclaimed wine barrels.

It's the little details that make a wine room.
In this wine cellar design, reclaimed "Cooperage" wine barrel flooring was utilized, along with quarter round display racking.
A glimpse of the Stonecoat can also be seen.
Note how well the flooring, the walls, and the racks go together. The tones and textures contrast and blend beautifully.

In this photo, you can see the curve corner wine rack that allows for a smooth transition from one wall to another. It is a common style of racking in residential custom wine cellars. Wine Cellar Specialists created this wine rack design with form and function in mind.
