With natural materials and clean lines, this Scandinavian-inspired kitchen channels stylish serenity. The European Oak brings a warm feel to the london kitchen extension balanced with white cabinets and worktops.
The long run of tall cabinets houses a bespoke bar cabinet, double larder and a utility cupboard.

The owner of the apartment has been living between Russia and Scotland for the last 10 years. Our goal was to create an environment that exuded maximum comfort and relaxation, like a luxury hotel, but with the character and feel of a home. The owners of the apartment requested the creation of a cheerful vibrant open space for their family and a separate area to host the reception of guests. When a guest stays in their designated area, we wanted to create a feeling that the area is self-contained and did not impose on the rest of the home – meaning they can feel comfortable and relaxed as a guest.
My intention was to keep a modern minimalist feel, maximising the use of the open space. To achieve this effect, I removed the walls between kitchen, the adjacent room and the hallway.

For the island, we added hidden cupboard space under the seating area, for the seldom used items. Also, incorporating a drawer with a double plug and USB point. Hiding unsightly cables with the ease of charging at the same time. To complement the curved island top, we mirrored this on the ceiling to enhance a softness to the design.
To eradicate the need of an overhead extractor fan, we used a Bora Pure recirculation extractor hob. The optimal airflow offers reduced noise when used and all odours are immediately captured at surface height. Perfect when entertaining.

The lean-to at the rear of this traditional property had seen better days and our client, planning for her retirement in the not too distant future, wanted to create a space with a fresh, coastal feel, somewhere she could cook, relax and entertain friends. Removing the old fashioned back door and adding wider full height glazed doors and Velux windows flooded this once gloomy space and transformed the room. Keeping things light, the furniture was painted in Shirting, a soft white by Little Green Paint Company, and on the tall fridge and larder cupboards a summery blue shade, Designers Guild Cirrus Cloud. A peninsular with light oak worktop was included to separate the dining room from the working area, with an open bookcase for cookery books and space for two stools for friends to perch. Nordic pendant lights add to the mid century feel of the room, with a pale oak dining table and matching oak chairs picking up the colour of the breakfast bar. This is now our client’s favourite room in the house, she’s just waiting for the day she can enjoy it 24/7.
New Space Architecture
Our clients wanted to turn a mid-century ex-council house in to a stunning and light-filled home having recently moved from London to their new home in the suburbs of Bristol. Their main issue and brief was how they could alter their mid century ex-council house to feel like a stunning and light ‘London’ home. Challenge accepted! This project didn't even involve a huge extension to the original property and instead only a 2m wide single storey side extension was proposed. The rest was a careful, considered and clever rearrangement of the internal spaces to provide this incredible light and bright home. Features like a re-positioned open stair case, internal critall doors and feature glazing above the new dining area all help transform the space in to a stunning home, completely unrecognisable to its original state.
