Total makeover of this backyard with winding stacked stone walls, circular paver patio, boulder fire pit, and landscaping to soften it all up!

A colorful patio to enjoy tropical plants, eat dinner, cozy up around the chiminea in the winter, and shade yourself from the heat of the Texas sun the rest of the year. The concrete slab of the deck was painted in the same light blue as the blue room for the base and then used the royal blue from that room to add a tile-look pattern.
Everything Home
Every detail of this European villa-style home exudes a uniquely finished feel. Our design goals were to invoke a sense of travel while simultaneously cultivating a homely and inviting ambience. This project reflects our commitment to crafting spaces seamlessly blending luxury with functionality.

The variety of native plants, shrubs, and trees shown here is a testament to the plant knowledge our Ecoscape designers have when designing for mountain properties.

We began this project with the idea of making a friendly entryway and social area under the Mulberry tree which provides much needed shade in this hot, mountainous area. The 'red fescue' meadow grass has a cooling effect and the agaves reduce the need for excess water and maintenance.
The backyard has a covered dining area with a corner lounge and fireplace. The large barbecue offers a cantilevered counter for entertaining. The waterfall into the pool is surrounded with bamboo and plantings that emulate the hillside beyond the property. The permeable paving and mix of Vitex and Olive trees provide shade for smaller seating areas to enjoy the variety of succulents throughout the garden

Turn a grey bare cement patio into a relaxing oasis during lock down is a great asset for small spaces. Don't forget your outdoor spaces when utilizing every square inch.

Small concrete patio featuring a built in concrete bench with colorful cushions and accent pillows around a custom natural gas fire pit. Mexican Beach Pebble boarder the ground plane and walls to soften up the space and add textural change. Surrounded by lush green plants, the water feature is the central focal point for this small garden. Modular slate squares transition from the garden area to the seating area.

Embracing the challenge of grounding this open, light-filled space, our Boulder studio focused on comfort, ease, and high design. The built-in lounge is flanked by storage cabinets for puzzles and games for this client who loves having people over. The high-back Living Divani sofa is paired with U-Turn Benson chairs and a "Rabari" rug from Nanimarquina for casual gatherings. The throw pillows are a perfect mix of Norwegian tapestry fabric and contemporary patterns. In the child's bedroom, we added an organically shaped Vitra Living Tower, which also provides a cozy reading niche. Bold Marimekko fabric colorfully complements more traditional detailing and creates a contrast between old and new. We loved collaborating with our client on an eclectic bedroom, where everything is collected and combined in a way that allows distinctive pieces to work together. A custom walnut bed supports the owner's tatami mattress. Vintage rugs ground the space and pair well with a vintage Scandinavian chair and dresser.
Combining unexpected objects is one of our favorite ways to add liveliness and personality to a space. In the little guest bedroom, our client (a creative and passionate collector) was the inspiration behind an energetic and eclectic mix. Similarly, turning one of our client's favorite old sweaters into pillow covers and popping a Native American rug on the wall helped pull the space together. Slightly eclectic and invitingly cozy, the twin guestroom beckons for settling in to read, nap or daydream. A vintage poster from Omnibus Gallery in Aspen and an antique nightstand add period whimsy.
