The clients for this project approached SALA ‘to create a house that we will be excited to come home to’. Having lived in their house for over 20 years, they chose to stay connected to their neighborhood, and accomplish their goals by extensively remodeling their existing split-entry home.

A dining pavilion that floats in the water on the city side of the house and floats in air on the rural side of the house. There is waterfall that runs under the house connecting the orthogonal pond on the city side with the free form pond on the rural side.

Jeremy Taylor designed the Landscape as well as the Building Facade and Hardscape.

Emerald City Build gave this Kirkland home’s entry a bold, modern refresh while preserving its Mid-Century Modern character. Natural wood beams, stacked stone siding, and sleek black metal railings create a clean, elevated look. Exterior stairs and an extended covered porch enhance both function and curb appeal, while warm wood accents and subtle grey siding keep the palette timeless. Thoughtful details like contemporary lighting and modern planters complete this inviting, street-facing statement.

Screened in rectangular porch was built to match the lines of the house. Porch has its own skylight.

This one story home was transformed into a mid-century modern masterpiece with the addition of a second floor. Its expansive wrap around deck showcases the view of White Rock Lake and the Dallas Skyline and giving this growing family the space it needed to stay in their beloved home. We renovated the downstairs with modifications to the kitchen, pantry, and laundry space, we added a home office and upstairs, a large loft space is flanked by a powder room, playroom, 2 bedrooms and a jack and jill bath.
