MARGARITA BRAVOThis was a fascinating project for incredible clients. To optimize costs and timelines, our Montecito studio took the existing Craftsman style of the kitchen and transformed it into a more contemporary one. We reused the perimeter cabinets, repainted for a fresh look, and added new walnut cabinets for the island and the appliances wall. The solitary pendant for the kitchen island was the focal point of our design, leaving our clients with a beautiful and everlasting kitchen remodel.

Julia Chasman DesignCustom corner banquette makes the most of the space for an eat-in breakfast room. Cushions covered in Baker Lifestyle Velvet fabric are easy to clean and add a great color pop. Schumacher print pillows were custom, and mixed with Crate & Barrel Polka Dots and Serena & Lily Fern pattern. The US map is a vintage find showing the country in 1877. From Salvare Goods in NELA.

Mosaik Design & RemodelingThis outdated kitchen came with flowered wallpaper, narrow connections to Entry and Dining Room, outdated cabinetry and poor workflow. By opening up the ceiling to expose existing beams, widening both entrys and adding taller, angled windows, light now steams into this bright and cheery Mid Century Modern kitchen. The custom Pratt & Larson turquoise tiles add so much interest and tie into the new custom painted blue door. The walnut wood base cabinets add a warm, natural element. A cozy seating area for TV watching, reading and coffee looks out to the new clear cedar fence and landscape.
