Call this contemporary, transitional, updated traditional with modern touches but call gorgeous! The architectures clean lines of the painted beams, fireplace and window continue in the furnishings. Add a couple modern touches and I call it HOME!

ROCK + POPPINS
A 6 bedroom full-house renovation of a Queen-Anne style villa, using punchy colour & dramatic statements to create an exciting & functional home for a busy couple, their 3 kids & dog. We completely altered the flow of the house, creating generous architectural links & a sweeping stairwell; both opening up spaces, but also catering for the flexibility of privacy required with a growing family. Our clients' bravery & love of drama allowed us to experiment with bold colour and pattern, and by adding in a rich, eclectic mix of vintage and modern furniture, we've created a super-comfortable, high-glamor family home.

Widened opening into traditional middle room of a Victorian home, bespoke stained glass doors were made by local artisans, installed new fire surround, hearth & wood burner. Bespoke bookcases and mini bar were created to bring function to the once unused space. The taller wall cabinets feature bespoke brass mesh inlay which house the owners high specification stereo equipment with extensive music collection stored below. New solid oak parquet flooring. Installed new traditional cornice and ceiling rose to finish the room.
The room is awaiting a second armchair and side tables.

We juxtaposed bold colors and contemporary furnishings with the early twentieth-century interior architecture for this four-level Pacific Heights Edwardian. The home's showpiece is the living room, where the walls received a rich coat of blackened teal blue paint with a high gloss finish, while the high ceiling is painted off-white with violet undertones. Against this dramatic backdrop, we placed a streamlined sofa upholstered in an opulent navy velour and companioned it with a pair of modern lounge chairs covered in raspberry mohair. An artisanal wool and silk rug in indigo, wine, and smoke ties the space together.

A console with upholstered ottomans keeps cocktails at the ready while adding two additional seats. A gold starburst mirror reflects light into the moody bar area of the room. Vintage glasses mimic the blue and green theme.

This builder designs custom living rooms with built-in bookshelves and media spaces around windows and TV spaces. Beyond the built-in wall features, a set of french doors lines one wall and a dramatic ceiling covers the entire room. It's the "wow" space of the home, one that showcases the builder's craftsmanship and the home's significance. © Seamus Payne Architectural Photography

Chicago luxury condo on the lake has been recognized in publications, received an award and and was featured on tv. OUR client wanted family friendly yet cutting edge design. This colorful condo overlooking Lake Michigan [with views of Navy Pier]. celebrates the couples Indian heritage. A gorgeous Odegard custom rug sets the aesthetic for the great room colors. Indian hammered silver furnishings contrast with an Odegard copper metal chair, upholstered in Clarence house fabric. The patina of the antique cocktail table inset with stone-is practical as much as it is beautiful. Bright orange and red upholstery pops against the blue in the custom made tibetan rug,
