Bilotta Kitchen & HomeBilotta Kitchen & Home
This bold and blue traditional kitchen was designed by Bilotta’s Jeni Spaeth with Interior Designer Jane Bell of Jane Bell Interiors. Designed for a bachelor’s penthouse, the view from the apartment spectacularly overlooks Westchester County with sights as far as Manhattan. Featuring Bilotta Collection Cabinetry in a 1” thick door, the design team strayed far from the classic white kitchen and opted for a regal shade of blue on the perimeter and natural walnut on the island. The color palette is further emphasized by the polished Blue Bahia granite top on the island and beautifully accented by the pops of gold used for the decorative hardware. The focal point of the kitchen is the Cornu Fe range, the Albertine model in black with satin nickel and polished brass accents. The accompanying hood is a custom design by Rangecraft in brushed stainless with satin gold elements. The countertop and backsplash surrounding the hearth area are in soft beige tones, a needed contrast to the darker hues of the cabinets and range. The L-shaped layout, with seating at the island, allows for wide-open views into the adjoining rooms and to the city below through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The homeowner wanted mostly drawers for storage in their kitchen but we didn't want it to get too busy. So, we divided up the drawer stacks throughout the kitchen and used doors here and there to give the eye a rest. We also incorporated an appliance garage in the corner to hide small items that clutter up the counters. Photo: Diane Schroeder

Look at this recently remodeled kitchen, completed in Iceberg Blue Quartzite with a Splitface Marble Backsplash near the San Antonio area. The Island has an ogee edge with clipped corners, while the surround kept a simple bullnose edge. The customer decided on a Blanco Granite Composite Truffle sink with this gooseneck faucet.

This was a tiny kitchen that we made huge by losing walls and opening it up to the formal dining room and backyard. Lots of reconfiguring to this older house. Client wanted to keep her newly painted faux walls so we carried it into the kitchen as well.

This Aurora client wanted to remove large soffits to make the room more open and allow for additional architectural interest. Medium stained Alder cabinets were used to warm up the light granite and hardwood floor selections. A newly designed laundry room and powder room were also included with matching materials to complete the 1st floor update. Designed and photographed by Adam Hartig.

This cherry wood kitchen hearkens back to the Arts and Crafts era, with its rustic simplicity and elegant attention to craftsmanship. The cabinets have a Washington cherry stain and sable glaze on Madison style recessed-panel doors, and the contrasting island has a dark espresso stain on the Fairhaven style recessed panel doors. The completing elements are juniper golden granite countertops and brushed nickel hardware. http://kitchensaver.com/
