R.B. Schwarz's client did not want to remove a wall but stay within the 10x11 ft. kitchen footprint in order to preserve the authenticity of the 1930's home. Custom cabinetry allowed for extra storage to be designed into this tiny kitchen. There are spice rack sliders on either side of the oven, bookshelves above the upper cabinets and more corner shelves for this avid baker. Photo Credit: Marc Golub

The goal was to keep the authentic vintage style intact while using updated and fresh materials and appliances. A farmhouse sink installed in the soapstone counters enhance the look of a kitchen from earlier dimpler days. The colors and styling flows into the adjoining dining area creating the feel of one continuous space. photo: davidduncanlivingston.com

The exterior kitchen wall has so many functions, but manages to stay beautiful. Lower cabinets provide storage near the range and under the sink. A deep, apron front sink and bridge faucet are practical and lovely. The tiled window wall also holds the range hood. A crisp white palette keep things fresh. - Dibble Photography
