Main Line Kitchen DesignMain Line Kitchen Design
The best kitchen showroom in your area is closer than you think. Main Line Kitchen Design's five designers are some of the most experienced and award winning kitchen designers in the Delaware Valley. They design with and sell 6 nationally distributed cabinet lines And because our designers work out of small offices and selection centers, the cabinet pricing is very competitive. Cabinet costs are slightly less than at Lowes or The Home Depot for semi-custom cabinet lines, and significantly less than traditional showrooms for custom cabinet lines. If this kitchen showroom is so close by, why don’t you recall seeing it? Because it’s in your own home! And in our second floor offices by appointment only! While most appointments take place at our Bala Cynwyd or Havertown Pennsylvania office, understanding what your kitchen design will look like and how sample kitchen cabinets, doors, and finishes will look in your home is sometimes easier when you are standing in the very room being renovated. At Main Line Kitchen Design we can bring sample doors and finishes to your home and make design changes on our laptops in 20-20 CAD with you, in your own kitchen. Main Line Kitchen Design is a more modern and cost effective business model. We are a kitchen cabinet dealer and design team that carries the highest quality kitchen cabinetry, is experienced, convenient, and reasonable priced. Call today! We can estimate your kitchen project from soup to nuts in a 15 minute phone call and you can find out why we get the best reviews on the internest. We look forward to working with you. As our company tag line says: "The world of kitchen design is changing..."

photo credit: Liz Steiner We consulted with this client to pull the full kitchen concept together. We provided vendors suggestions. Counter is black soapstone, marble backsplash. Prior to this design the client had honey colored cabinets and desired a light and an airy space. Sleek shaker style.

Kennebunkport Modern Farmhouse
Kennebunkport Modern Farmhouse

e4 Interior Design This farmhouse was purchased by the clients in the end of 2015. The timeframe for the renovation was tight, as the home is a hot summer rental in the historic district of Kennebunkport. This antique colonial home had been expanded over the years. The intention behind the renovation was quite simple; to remove wall paper, apply fresh paint, change out some light fixtures and renovate the kitchen. A somewhat small project turned into a massive renovation, with the renovation of 3 bathrooms and a powder room, a kitchen, adding a staircase, plumbing, floors, changing windows, not to mention furnishing the entire house afterwords. The finished product really speaks for itself! The aesthetic is "coastal farmhouse". We did not want to make it too coastal (as it is not on the water, but rather in a coastal town) or too farmhouse-y (while still trying to maintain some of the character of the house.) Old floors on both the first and second levels were made plumb (reused as vertical supports), and the old wood beams were repurposed as well - both in the floors and in the architectural details. For example - in the fireplace in the kitchen and around the door openings into the dining room you can see the repurposed wood! The newel post and balusters on the mudroom stairs were also from the repurposed lot of wood, but completely refinished for a new use. The clients were young and savvy, with a very hands on approach to the design and construction process. A very skilled bargain hunter, the client spent much of her free time when she was not working, going to estate sales and outlets to outfit the house. Their builder, as stated earlier, was very savvy in reusing wood where he could as well as salvaging things such as the original doors and door hardware while at the same time bringing the house up to date.

Built in 1915, this classic craftsman style home is located in the Capitol Mansions Historic District. When the time came to remodel, the homeowners wanted to continue to celebrate its history by keeping with the craftsman style but elevating the kitchen’s function to include the latest in quality cabinetry and modern appliances. The new spacious kitchen (and adjacent walk-in pantry) provides the perfect environment for a couple who loves to cook and entertain. White perimeter cabinets and dark soapstone counters make a timeless and classic color palette. Designed to have a more furniture-like feel, the large island has seating on one end and is finished in an historically inspired warm grey paint color. The vertical stone “legs” on either side of the gas range-top highlight the cooking area and add custom detail within the long run of cabinets. Wide barn doors designed to match the cabinet inset door style slide open to reveal a spacious appliance garage, and close when the kitchen goes into entertainer mode. Finishing touches such as the brushed nickel pendants add period style over the island. A bookcase anchors the corner between the kitchen and breakfast area providing convenient access for frequently referenced cookbooks from either location. Just around the corner from the kitchen, a large walk-in butler’s pantry in cheerful yellow provides even more counter space and storage ability. Complete with an undercounter wine refrigerator, a deep prep sink, and upper storage at a glance, it’s any chef’s happy place. Photo credit: Fred Donham of Photographerlink
