This kitchen went from a dark cramped space to a spacious light and airy contemporary custom kitchen that accommodates all of my clients needs as well as the dogs with their own dog bowls built into the island.

A stunning mountain retreat, this custom legacy home was designed by MossCreek to feature antique, reclaimed, and historic materials while also providing the family a lodge and gathering place for years to come. Natural stone, antique timbers, bark siding, rusty metal roofing, twig stair rails, antique hardwood floors, and custom metal work are all design elements that work together to create an elegant, yet rustic mountain luxury home.

A country casual kitchen featuring cabinetry by Wood-Mode. White bead board cabinets contrast nicely with lightly stained cherry cabinets in this kitchen that melds modern convenience with old-fashioned appeal. We included tall pantry cabinets with drawers and roll-out shelves, an eating bar, and a "homework" desk for the kids. As you can see from the family photos, this is a well loved and lived in space.

Imagine the surprise of LaMantia designer Gina Mazzone, CKD, CBD when she arrived for a first appointment to find this LaGrange Ranch home had two existing kitchens back-to-back. How very unusual! Upon further investigation she also found a “powder room” without a sink. This was just the challenge that Mazzone excels at…and excel she did! In this serene family home we worked in a palette of soft gray/blues and warm walnut wood tones that complimented the clients' collection of original South African artwork. We happily incorporated vintage items passed down from relatives and treasured family photos creating a very personal home where this family can relax and unwind. In the kitchen we consulted on the layout and finishes including cabinetry finish, tile floors, countertops, backsplash, furniture and accessories with stunning results. This kitchen remodel was for a large family that usually had a few people working in the kitchen at the same time. So we really want to create a couple work zones. The wood is in keeping with the rest of the house. Photographer: Tom McInerney
