It’s always a blessing when your clients become friends - and that’s exactly what blossomed out of this two-phase remodel (along with three transformed spaces!). These clients were such a joy to work with and made what, at times, was a challenging job feel seamless. This project consisted of two phases, the first being a reconfiguration and update of their master bathroom, guest bathroom, and hallway closets, and the second a kitchen remodel. In keeping with the style of the home, we decided to run with what we called “traditional with farmhouse charm” – warm wood tones, cement tile, traditional patterns, and you can’t forget the pops of color! The master bathroom airs on the masculine side with a mostly black, white, and wood color palette, while the powder room is very feminine with pastel colors. When the bathroom projects were wrapped, it didn’t take long before we moved on to the kitchen. The kitchen already had a nice flow, so we didn’t need to move any plumbing or appliances. Instead, we just gave it the facelift it deserved! We wanted to continue the farmhouse charm and landed on a gorgeous terracotta and ceramic hand-painted tile for the backsplash, concrete look-alike quartz countertops, and two-toned cabinets while keeping the existing hardwood floors. We also removed some upper cabinets that blocked the view from the kitchen into the dining and living room area, resulting in a coveted open concept floor plan. Our clients have always loved to entertain, but now with the remodel complete, they are hosting more than ever, enjoying every second they have in their home. --- Project designed by interior design studio Kimberlee Marie Interiors. The kitchen is anchored by a large center island featuring an over-sized stainless steel farmhouse apron sink by Kerr, contrasted by a slender, single-lever faucet by Dornbracht. Accenting the cabinets are a custom combination of brass and steel pulls by Buster+Punch, pairing well with staple brushed steel appliances from Sub-Zero and Wolf. Lighting is from the Waldorf Collection by Lambert & Fils and showcases photography from the homeowner’s own private collection. The kitchen is framed by black steel windows and doors by Euroline, and a fully motorized solar shade from The Shade Store which materializes from the ceiling for privacy (and mornings).

Kowalske Kitchen & Bath remodeled this Delafield home in the Mulberry Grove neighborhood. The renovation included the kitchen, the fireplace tile and adding hardwood flooring to the entire first floor. Although the layout of the kitchen remained similar, we made smart changes to increase functionality. We removed the soffits to open the space and make room for taller cabinets to the ceiling. We reconfigured the appliances for extra prep space and added storage with rollouts and more drawers. The design is a classic, timeless look with white shaker cabinets, grey quartz counters and carrara marble subway tile backsplash. To give the space a trendy vibe, we used fun lighting, matte black fixtures and open shelving.

In the kitchen, the use of Kraftmaid cabinetry in a "canvas" finish around the perimeter of the room and an island in "aged river rock" helped achieve both a bright and warm feeling. The ceramic tile backsplash in dove gray and polished quartz countertops in Cambria-Berwyn with an ogee edge complete the space. Erin Little Photography

Welcome to this Midtown Manhattan apartment! Located on the 17th floor the narrow space is maximized to its capacity. In addition the the window, the white cabinets provide a bright and airy feel. Pantries, drawers and cabinets provide enough storage space, as well as counter working space, achieved by the extending the bottom cabinets into family area. There's even a niche that can be used for mail and kids schoolwork!
