Our homeowner approached us first in order to remodel her master suite. Her shower was leaking and she wanted to turn 2 separate closets into one enviable walk in closet. This homeowners projects have been completed in multiple phases. The second phase was focused on the kitchen, laundry room and converting the dining room to an office. Kitchen: The two biggest requests are homeowner had for their kitchen remodel was banquette seating and to reconfigure it so that she didn’t do so much walking while cooking. This transitional kitchen features white painted cabinets and a granite countertop. There are 4 pieces of historic porcelain tile from South America featured. The flooring is Narbina in a French pattern. In addition to the designer pendent light by Jamie Young: Flowering Lotus Antique Gold, there are also LED recessed lights. For the appliances our client decided on a Thermador 36” Gas Range, Kitchen Aid Refrigerator and Thermador Dishwasher. The kitchen has open shelving above the countertop and in the pantry.

The Homeowner of this custom home in Highland Park wanted privacy from the road adjoining the side of his home. Because the house was not pre-wired for window coverings, and they wanted a 'wireless' finish, we installed Texton manufactured Somfy battery operated 1% screen fabric roller shades. Traditional in design but there is nothing traditional about this office. Tons of natural light pours in from the windows and complements that gorgeous hardwood storage and brings out the little pops of color strategically placed on the shelves. The client came with the huge antique desk that had been passed down form generation to generation and we just had to use it! A great starting point of course but the room needed a little bit of umpiring up with a colorful rug and the divided mirror to make the room feel larger. Who doesn't love the rich colors of the molding too?!

This 3,812 square feet transitional style home is in the highly desirable neighborhood of The Canyons at Scenic Loop, located in the Northwest hill country of San Antonio. The four-bedroom residence boasts luxury and openness with a nice flow of common areas. Rock and tile wall features mix perfectly with wood beams and trim work to create a beautiful interior. Additional eye candy can be found at a curved stone focal wall in the entry, in the large study with reclaimed wood ceiling, an even larger game room, the abundance of natural light from high windows and tall butted glass, curved ceiling treatments, storefront garage doors, and a walk in shower trailing behind a sculptural freestanding tub in the master bathroom.

This Paradise Valley modern estate was selected Arizona Foothills Magazine's Showcase Home in 2004. The home backs to a preserve and fronts to a majestic Paradise Valley skyline. Architect CP Drewett designed all interior millwork, specifying exotic veneers to counter the other interior finishes making this a sumptuous feast of pattern and texture. The home is organized along a sweeping interior curve and concludes in a collection of destination type spaces that are each meticulously crafted. Wall maps, pinboards that can serve as mood or inspiration boards, and world clocks can all be great options when considering office design ideas. Practical necessities like desk lamps needn’t be unattractive – there a range of stunning designer lamps available. How do I create a home library?

If the stuffiness of home office desks, swivel chairs and filing cabinets is too much for you, a library space may be more your thing when it comes to study, work or even relaxation. Libraries are peaceful and quiet places, and with careful consideration you can recreate this in an area of your home. Books are obviously going to feature heavily in your home library design, and you’ll need a place to store them. A bookcase or nice shelving can create room dividers if you don’t have a whole room to dedicate to a home library, and the benefit of bookcases is that they are movable – you don’t have to stick with one layout it it’s not working. If you don’t want to take up space, shelves hung on the walls will work just as well, and if you really want that authentic library feel then you’ll have to go with built in bookshelves that stretch from floor to ceiling. Next all you need is a comfy chair in amongst the books or a desk if you plan to do work or study from your library. Remember that library areas can be slotted in all around the home – under the stairs, in a corner of your living room or kitchen, as a mezzanine or in a small spare room.
