IQ Glass UKA south facing extension has been built to convert a derelict Grade II listed barn into a sustainable, contemporary and comfortable home that invites natural light into the living spaces with glass extension to barn.
Glovers Barn was a derelict 15th Century Grade II listed barn on the ‘Historic Buildings at Risk’ register in need of a complete barn renovation to transform it from a dark, constrained dwelling to an open, inviting and functional abode.
Stamos Yeoh Architects thoughtfully designed a rear south west glass extension to barn with 20mm minimal sightline slim framed sliding glass doors to maximise the natural light ingress into the home. The flush thresholds enable easy access between the kitchen and external living spaces connecting to the mature gardens.
Project LondonThis was a lateral 2 bedroom flat spread across two buildings. We added on the mansard roof and divided it into two split-level 2 bedroom apartments.
The apartment has everything a young professional or a small family could need. The addition of the private roof terraces was a real bonus.
All the joinery in the apartment was designed and manufactured by our sister company Cor Domi. As well as all doors and windows, designed, manufactured, and installed by PL Glazing.
This was an investment project for our client. The apartments went on the market immediately and were both sold within four weeks!

BroseleyWe carried out a full refurbishment and remodelling of this wonderful grade II listed villa, located in North Kensington.
Complete with a home library, open fireplaces throughout and use of original wooden beams. This home merges the old and the new perfectly.

Jones Britain KitchensWe chose a flat, matt laminate door in a pale grey with matching grey cabinets. The tall larders surround the American Style fridge freezer, housing all food storage at one end of the kitchen. The main worksurfaces with the large sink, Quooker Flex boiling tap, dishwasher and pull out bins, provide ample space for food preparation and the open shelf above keeps all essential accessories easily accessible. Tall cabinets at the end, housing the single ovens and multipurpose storage, balance the overall look in the room without being overpowering so near the dining area.
The island is that central hub with bar stool seating, allowing for comfortable conversation while the meal is being prepared or a quick snack. Plenty of deep drawer storage below for all pots, pans and cutlery keep them in that central zone. The beautiful, veined quartz worksurfaces, including book matched end panels on the island, bring that touch of luxury and detail which compliments the grey green paint used on the accent wall.
