Pathways paved with crushed stone meander through this incredible space. We planted drought tolerant perennials; nepeta, euphorbia, pittosporum tobira wheelers dwarf, dymondia and lavender. Olive trees and Oaks surround this lovely garden.

Versailles patterned patios are composed of four different sized pavers. This distinctive French pattern creates visual rhythm yet can seem nearly random. A subtle change in scale and material from the upper patio to the lower one is just one more example of the high level of detail in this deceptively simple backyard landscape in Edina.
And if you didn’t get the message from the meditating frog or the ornamental snail – this backyard is designed to be a peaceful place for rest, conversation, and contemplation

Stone rockery garden leads the eye from the driveway to the front walkway. Foundation planting includes a weeping cherry tree for spring color and 'Annabelle' Hydrangea for summer color. The boxwood hedge and 'Nellie R. Stevens' Holly provide winter interest.
Bianchi Design
Kirk Bianchi created the design for this residential resort next to a desert preserve. The overhang of the homes patio suggested a pool with a sweeping curve shape. Kirk positioned a raised vanishing edge pool to work with the ascending terrain and to also capture the reflections of the scenery behind. The fire pit and bbq areas are situated to capture the best views of the superstition mountains, framed by the architectural pergola that creates a window to the vista beyond. A raised glass tile spa, capturing the colors of the desert context, serves as a jewel and centerpiece for the outdoor living space.
