The Landscape Artist
This unique home on edge of downtown Calgary is a longer term project we had the privilege to design and implement. We were involved early in the extensive renovation process to provide input on design elements and help resolve logistical issues on the site. Among the many elements in the garden a large water feature was desired, in part to help mask traffic noise, as well as numerous areas to entertain, relax, and explore.
Both large and dry-pack Rundlestone was utilized along with stamped concrete for much of the hardscaping. The slope was manipulated to construct the water feature which includes numerous falls, a stream, pond and bio-filter. Stucco walls were constructed on part of the property and river-stone walls were reconstructed to match the existing walls from the previous development. Extensive plantings throughout the grounds highlight and accent the hardscape and were designed for four seasons of interest.

J & S Landscape
A very productive landscape that is constantly developing new aspects. The owners are interested in raising food, flowers and fun for their friends, neighbors, and themselves. The project has been in for eight year and featured in magazines. It has been developing food forests along the edge and will see the addition of a greenhouse in the coming years.
Water features in the front and back create a lot of local interest and provide a great gathering space.
Smalls Landscaping
For the water feature we designed a multi-faceted system to carry the water to different areas. By using a 1” hammer drill, holes were drilled through weathered limestone boulders. Water could then tumble down the boulders from three sides in multiple locations creating a soothing atmosphere as you relax on the patio. An Aqua Ultaviolet Ultima II Bio-Tube filter system was installed. This superior filter allows easy maintenance and high water flow distribution.
Accent Landscapes
All natural stone water features we build are built to fit into the landscape and topography. Depending on how much elevation there is to work with in your yard we can create cascading creeks, waterfalls and pools. We are often able to create some elevation through the use of berms and retaining, making this a possibility even in relatively flat areas.
California Outdoor Lighting
This pond acts as a divider between the pool deck and the more relaxing seating area with fire feature.
