In an effort to increase the enjoyment hours and reduce the amount of time spent on maintenance, this entire structure in Bethesda, MD, was built using low maintenance materials. The deck was constructed with Trex Select decking inside the screened porch and across the entire surface of the deck, vinyl trim was used inside and outside of the screened porch and the ceiling is beaded 1×6 tongue and groove vinyl to create a more finished look for the interior.

We chose this leaf green color to pop color to this aged redwood deck, while blending with the nature that surrounds it. A wisteria gives this setting a beautiful focal point. To the right is a window like view beneath the trellis of Russian River vineyard.

This family of five wanted to enjoy their great neighborhood on a new front porch gathering space. While the main home has a somewhat contemporary look, architect Lee Meyer specified Craftsman Era details for the final trim and siding components, marrying two styles into an elegant fusion. The result is a porch that both serves the family's needs and recalls a great era of American Architecture. Photos by Greg Schmidt.

This deck was designed with the mountains in mind. The owners visioned a deck spanning nearly 1,000 square feet made of modern and durable materials with a warm and woodsy appeal. Custom handmade laurel handrails, Evergrain railing and Timbertech decking created a sleek design with rustic appeal.

The BarK Puplick House, a play on words for ‘Public House,’ is the picturesque pub for the canine community. Just a short ‘pup crawl’ away is fido’s watering hole, posh nosh, and inn for relaxation. Built with timeless materials and craftsmanship, this ‘Gastropup’ fuses industrial decor with town & country charm. The industrial lighting and steel casement window captures the essence of city life, while shutters, traditional millwork, and floral & plaid textiles express the countryside’s beauty.
