This stunning two toned farmhouse kitchen has such lovely details! Bead-board accent cabinets, mixer cabinet, incredible granite countertops that tie the two tones together along with a cohesive color scheme throughout the first floor of the home. The recessed lighting as well as the quadruple pendant light above the island makes for a lovely bright place to cook and entertain. A well loved farm house passed down through generations of the family was carefully and tactfully designed to suit the new generation living in the house and running the farm. The young couple with two mini mes wanted a more open layout to suit their living and entertaining styles. We carefully worked with the estate owners and the family to make it work for the busy home but within the restrictions of a grade 2 listed building. It all resulted in layout that maximized the space and all that uses it resulting in a beautiful family kitchen!

This bespoke barn conversion project was designed in Davonport Tillingham, shaker-style cabinetry. With the 4.5m-high ceiling, getting the proportions of the furniture right was crucial. We used 3D renders of the room to help us decide how much we needed to increase the height of each element. By maintaining the features such as the old timber door from the gable; as the new door into the snug – it added character and charm to the scheme.
