White high gloss stretch ceiling makes the most efficient use of lighting and never needs to be repainted. It won't absorb cooking or other odours.

Moving into a new home? Where do your furnishings look and fit the best? Where and what should you purchase new? Downsizing can be even more difficult. How do you get all your cherished belongings to fit? What do you keep and what to you pass onto a new home? I'm here to help. This home was smaller and the homeowners asked me to help make it feel like home and make everything work. Mission accomplished!
Modern Traditions Interior Design LLC
After two years with a peach dining room, the homeowner wanted to make it her own. Using her extensive china collection as inspiration, we painted the walls blue, the fireplace white and and created a white display frame. The new window treatments tie everything together. In spite of the windows, the room is very dim, so instead of navy, we used a brighter dark blue that becomes more intimate for evening dinner parties.

Floorplan Rugs
Gardens are a central theme in many oriental rugs, and the Cypress is a symbol of great importance. Its shares some of its symbolism with the Tree of Life as a connection to Paradise, but also represents eternal life.
History of This Design: Originating in what was the Azerbaijan region of ancient Persian dynasties, Afshar rugs are an excellent example of nomadic Persian rugs. Traditionally made by nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes near the Persian town of Kerman, these rugs employ deep reds and blues and motifs that reflect many aspects of their hunting and herding lifestyles (one common medallion is believed to represent a stretched animal skin, other motifs depict chickens). Star-like medallions and floral motifs are also common within the Afshar repertoire.
Susan Yeley Homes
When a friend of Susan's set up a foundation in her daughter's name benefiting Neonatal Intensive Care technology and education, SYI donated a 4-hour design consultation for a silent auction to help the fund. With that gift certificate (plus a couple hours), this young family got a living and dining room plan, product selections and color scheme. A few tips and some direction for rugs, art and accessories elsewhere in the house, and this client took off on her own. The house looks great: casual and clean, elegant and kid-friendly.
