Tucked away in a small but thriving village on the South Downs is a beautiful and unique property. Our brief was to add contemporary and quirky touches to bring the home to life. We added soft furnishings, furniture and accessories to the eclectic open plan interior, bringing zest and personality to the busy family home.

It is a luxury to have two sitting rooms, but with a house with many floors and a family it really helps! This room was designed to have a calmer area for the family to sit together and for this reason we calmed the colours down o give it a softer feel. A large rug in the room and floor to ceiling curtains really elevates the space, whilst taking the textured wallpaper around the room ensures the room feels luxurious and warm.

The large oval coffee table is made from a high-gloss, cloudy-brown vellum. The puffy, nimbus-like shapes have an ephemeral quality, as if they could evaporate at any moment.
By contrast, two angular lounge chairs have been upholstered in a fabric of equally striking angles.
Richly embroidered curtains mix matte and metallic yarns that play the light beautifully.
These things, combined with the densely textured wallpaper, create a room full of varied surfaces, shapes and patterns.

The deep, inky-toned paint was used to wrap the whole room, creating drama and luxury. The period features from this double-fronted reception room were fully restored and the fireplace was restored. We chose a warm wood for the floor, in a herringbone pattern to add a sense of warmth and luxury. A 1920s sofa was reupholstered, alongside a vintage cocktail chair, keeping the palette consistent, and allowing the pops of colour to come from the artwork and feature lighting. The pink Murano glass chandelier is a dramatic focal point, both playful and theatrical. We introduced touches of brass to complement the colours and textures. The velvet on the furniture gives a sense of inviting comfort. Bespoke roman blinds, also in the colour palette of the space, allow lots of light into the room and do not intrude on the sofa placed against the window.

The living room at this Chiswick Town House was given a refresh with a new sofa, chair, ottoman, side tables, table lamps, floor lamp , cushions and accessories. An existing chair was reupholstered to fit with the new scheme.

We juxtaposed bold colors and contemporary furnishings with the early twentieth-century interior architecture for this four-level Pacific Heights Edwardian. The home's showpiece is the living room, where the walls received a rich coat of blackened teal blue paint with a high gloss finish, while the high ceiling is painted off-white with violet undertones. Against this dramatic backdrop, we placed a streamlined sofa upholstered in an opulent navy velour and companioned it with a pair of modern lounge chairs covered in raspberry mohair. An artisanal wool and silk rug in indigo, wine, and smoke ties the space together.

A renovation of an ornate, parlor level brownstone apartment on the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights with views to the Manhattan skyline. The space was reconfigured to create long views through the apartment around a sculptural “core”, its modern detailing and materials acting in counterpoint to the grandeur of the original detailing.

Located near the base of Scottsdale landmark Pinnacle Peak, the Desert Prairie is surrounded by distant peaks as well as boulder conservation easements. This 30,710 square foot site was unique in terrain and shape and was in close proximity to adjacent properties. These unique challenges initiated a truly unique piece of architecture.
Planning of this residence was very complex as it weaved among the boulders. The owners were agnostic regarding style, yet wanted a warm palate with clean lines. The arrival point of the design journey was a desert interpretation of a prairie-styled home. The materials meet the surrounding desert with great harmony. Copper, undulating limestone, and Madre Perla quartzite all blend into a low-slung and highly protected home.
Located in Estancia Golf Club, the 5,325 square foot (conditioned) residence has been featured in Luxe Interiors + Design’s September/October 2018 issue. Additionally, the home has received numerous design awards.

Brass Hill Design
A color-saturated family-friendly living room. Walls in Farrow & Ball's Brinjal, a rich eggplant that is punctuated by pops of deep aqua velvet. Custom-upholstered furniture and loads of custom throw pillows. A round hammered brass cocktail table anchors the space. Bright citron-green accents add a lively pop. Loads of layers in this richly colored living space make this a cozy, inviting place for the whole family.

A vintage glass and brass lamp circa the 1960s sets off this living room’s gold, copper and neutral palette. Silk draperies, a metal étagère, polished nickel and antiqued mirror set of nesting tables set off the Oushak rug and dark walnut stain of the hardwoods.
ROCK + POPPINS
A 6 bedroom full-house renovation of a Queen-Anne style villa, using punchy colour & dramatic statements to create an exciting & functional home for a busy couple, their 3 kids & dog. We completely altered the flow of the house, creating generous architectural links & a sweeping stairwell; both opening up spaces, but also catering for the flexibility of privacy required with a growing family. Our clients' bravery & love of drama allowed us to experiment with bold colour and pattern, and by adding in a rich, eclectic mix of vintage and modern furniture, we've created a super-comfortable, high-glamor family home.

Our clients hired us to completely renovate and furnish their PEI home — and the results were transformative. Inspired by their natural views and love of entertaining, each space in this PEI home is distinctly original yet part of the collective whole.
We used color, patterns, and texture to invite personality into every room: the fish scale tile backsplash mosaic in the kitchen, the custom lighting installation in the dining room, the unique wallpapers in the pantry, powder room and mudroom, and the gorgeous natural stone surfaces in the primary bathroom and family room.
We also hand-designed several features in every room, from custom furnishings to storage benches and shelving to unique honeycomb-shaped bar shelves in the basement lounge.
The result is a home designed for relaxing, gathering, and enjoying the simple life as a couple.
