Not only did the entire room get an aesthetic upgrade, but the functionality was bumped up more than I even thought possible in this 10' x 9'. She now has more storage, a work space and a mirror to get ready for a busy tween life.

The framed scarves were hanging in a dark space on a wall near the kitchen - hanging them vertically draws the eye up. The ottoman was originally in the overcrowded living room.

This project for a large family with six young children had to be functional, durable and comfortable. With the home being located outside of the city in a rural part of town, Pulp Design Studios took inspiration from nature, choosing warm neutrals as the back drop for pops of green, blue and red.

This is another vew of the shelf wall. The desk, desk chair, and shelving were purchased from Walmart; Rug from Anna's Linen's; chandelier from Menard's; frames and shelf fabric from Family Dollar; wall decal from GeekeryMade.com; Chalk art custom made by friend.

This is a great shot of the bedside table and bed canopy. The table was from Homesense and I wanted to add the childs favourite dinosaurs here to make them part of the decor not just a toy. I added a plant here to bring the space alive and make a great contract against the dinosour toys and colour scheme. the little toy storage underneath makes good use of the space and the bedside faux fur rug gives that cosy feel to the room.

Bright and cheery describes this budding young artist's bedroom. A mix of patterns in shades of blue-green, canteloupe and gray create a lively retreat. The soft blue walls provide a calm background, while the sky blue ceiling adds just the right punch. Photo by Jeri Koegel.
