Jennifer A. Emmer/Feng Shui Style
This was a small garden that we Feng Shui'ed and completely redesigned. The theme was a xeriscape - with drought tolerant, native species to California. Jennifer designed the Feng Shui aspects of the garden, and Briana Lyon provided the horticultural knowledge. We also designed their atrium to be an indoor/outdoor space with plants, and seating areas.
Our clients (and their dog) love the finished product. Now they have strawberries, and artichokes coming straight from the garden. They also get a fair amount of hummingbirds visiting their fountain. This is an eclectic space, which colorfully pumps up the Feng Shui of the homeowners, while giving them a zen place to relax.
Just in Thyme Landscape Design
This very small water feature blends into the natural, woodland environment of this small townhouse yard. Yet it provides so much ambiance and relaxation while the pleasant sound of the water drowns out the traffic noise nearby. The water recirculates and is stored underground thus keeping evaporation, bug, & algae problems away.

Stepping stones curve round form the house side patio linking the deck and path. Central water feature brings sound and movement.

This is a Roberto Burle Marx- inspired design, a drought tolerant landscape that imitates the vibrant colors and patterns of the tropics. We kept the monstera and bird of paradise plants, and with the colorful trim on the house, it all works together in this eclectic mashup.

Ecoscape Environmental Design
Use large container pots for privacy screening and to conceal unsightly elements. Whether it's a utility box, a satellite dish, or a neighbor's dog house, a container pot strategically placed with plantings of varying heights will solve the problem without the wait for an in-ground shrub to fill-out.
