McDaniels Kitchen and BathMcDaniels Kitchen and Bath
Pairing cream colored Medallion Silverline kitchen cabinets with a vibrant blue and gold color scheme, this kitchen design in Haslett achieves the ideal French country style. Cambria quartz countertops and Jeffrey Alexander hardware beautifully accent the cabinetry. A custom hutch in matching cabinet finish offers extra storage and glass front cabinets for displaying dishes and glassware. A Blanco undermount sink fits in perfectly with this design, along with the Eclipse single lever faucet. The tile selection really sets the tone for this kitchen design, with Jeffrey Court blue and gold backsplash tile giving the kitchen a splash of color. The hexagonal shaped floor tile from Artistic Tile Saigon collection is a practical and stylish addition.

RJK Construction, Inc. and Designs by SKill, LLC This kitchen remodel was dark and cluttered. Although the kitchen was large, storage space was not utilized to it’s full potential. With a few changes to the layout, new cabinetry, appliances, granite countertop, and a bold paint color, this kitchen now reflects the homeowner’s personality and has much more space. New white paint cabinetry surrounds the perimeter of this kitchen, to include the new tall pantry cabinetry around the refrigerator. For contrast and visual interest, the island is a dark glaze over natural cabinetry. Above the island are three pendant lights adding accent and task lighting. A bar sink in the island is convenient for large meals and when there are more than two cooks in the kitchen. The same dark cabinetry is found between the living area and the kitchen. This piece of cabinetry helps to divide the spaces, but adds extra storage. The new countertop is Azul Platino Granite. A monochromatic stone, the granite has many different shades of grey. Coordinating with this granite, the backsplash features white subway tile on a staggered pattern with a grey grout color. For contrast, the walls were painted in a bright blue from Benjamin Moore.
BEAUTIFUL BLUE BESPOKE KITCHEN DESIGN IN BEAULIEU NEW FOREST
BEAUTIFUL BLUE BESPOKE KITCHEN DESIGN IN BEAULIEU NEW FOREST
Herbert William LimitedHerbert William Limited
A beautiful blue bespoke kitchen design in Beaulieu New Forest was created by our designer Lorna. Lorna’s client requested to have a bespoke wood in-frame painted kitchen with oak veneer plywood carcases, skirting plinths and brushed nickel cup and knob handles. The kitchen is situated in a beautiful airy extension which has been added to an older property. The kitchen and surrounding space have vast windows throughout offering wonderful views of the forest/land surrounding the property in Beaulieu. Lorna assisted our client in choosing specific colours for the doors to create that truly bespoke finish. The final decision was taken from the Little Green Company collection – Slaked Lime and Hicks Blue. Lorna also visited our local stonemasons with our client to help select the final Quartz worktops to be used and our client loved that she could select and reserve slabs to be used in her kitchen. The bespoke kitchen design included a Fisher & Paykel Stainless Steel Fridge Freezer, Dishwasher Drawers, Ilve Range Cooker, Falmec Extractor, Caple Wine Fridge, single bowl in the island and Kohler double main sink. Both sinks included stainless steel finish taps. Storage was important so Lorna included a shallow double door pantry to one side of the kitchen in the design. Overall the space was to be sociable and the design layout enabled the space to feel open and functional for many occasions – be it cooking for two or a large family gathering. The final result has given our client the kitchen she desired and blends beautifully into the new space as if it had always been there. Herbert William now offers bespoke kitchen design, crafting cabinets in our very own on-site workshop so you can achieve the kitchen design of your dreams. Photos by Lia Vittone

Traditional Blue & White Shaker Kitchen
Traditional Blue & White Shaker Kitchen
Yorkshire Kitchen DesignYorkshire Kitchen Design
This traditional blue and white shaker kitchen was built in Drax, North Yorkshire. The clients were looking for a highly functional, open-plan kitchen, but they also wanted to keep the traditional feel of their home. The blue and white shaker cabinets perfectly balance these two requirements. Since this is a complete kitchen renovation, we stripped the space completely, installed new electrical wirings, and did a full reskim. We also added a pocket door system, tiled the floor, and added new radiators. We started by removing a structural wall between the unused dining room and a small kitchen to create an open-plan kitchen, dining and snug area. To do this, we cut the steel within the floor joists to create a flush ceiling and allowed the dropped ceiling around the island to house the ceiling-mounted extractor. We finished the ceiling with a 3-step edge detailing to make a seamless transition between the existing decor and the new look. We chose the Stanton range, a classic shaker-style collection, for the cabinetry. We used a combination of midnight blue and mussel units, offering a sense of warmth and comfort to the room. The worktops are white mirage. There's no need to switch on any lights in this kitchen as we used the Phillips Hue light system, controlled via voice, motion, and phones. We also added motion-activated LED strip lighting in the ceiling for ambient lighting. Lastly, we installed appliances from Bosch and Quooker to create a fully functional kitchen.
