Blue Heron Signature HomesThe focal point wall was carefully planned with a wide fireplace in the center and a beautiful, thick walnut floating bench in front of it and carrying all the way to the wall on the left- adding an unexpected asymmetry to the space. The left side mimics the walnut floating shelves to display the family’s photos and accessories. The entire fireplace wall is surrounded with a cream and beige, neutral tile laid in a horizontal brick pattern. The large flat screen is carefully inset framed above the fireplace and this wall has become a contemporary pop for this room and home; perfectly opposing the farmhouse kitchen on the opposite wall. Havlicek Builders Inc.This 2 story home with a first floor Master Bedroom features a tumbled stone exterior with iron ore windows and modern tudor style accents. The Great Room features a wall of built-ins with antique glass cabinet doors that flank the fireplace and a coffered beamed ceiling. The adjacent Kitchen features a large walnut topped island which sets the tone for the gourmet kitchen. Flavin ArchitectsThis new house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood developed in the 1920’s, that is in transition, with new larger homes replacing the original modest-sized homes. The house is designed to be harmonious with its traditional neighbors, with divided lite windows, and hip roofs. The roofline of the shingled house steps down with the sloping property, keeping the house in scale with the neighborhood. Coastal Signature HomesLove the warm tones in this gorgeous heart of pine antique flooring...what a great look. The brick fireplace with butt board for added interest over the fireplace and the spacious bookshelves, cabinets and built in media center insure that this very comfortable family space will be well used.
Saint Dizier DesignThe Family Room bookcase houses a curved screen TV and has lit shelves. The TV is on an articulating arm and can be pointed toward any area of the room.

Rose Group (Silicon Valley)AFTER: Another view of the makeover of this traditional family + dining room. The entertainment center used to be a home bar, which is a feature buyers don't want anymore. The TV used to be sitting kitty-corner on a stand at the far end of the room, making one of the built-ins (not pictured) unusable. After the makeover, the entire room is accessible, and whoever's on kitchen duty can keep an eye on their favorite shows along with everyone else.
