This modest cape was completely renovated to create an open and light-filled interior, as well as a fully wheelchair-accessible first floor. A series of careful modifications to the house frame completely transformed its character, including; creating a guest bedroom out of the garage; opening up ceilings to create a lofty feel in the living room and bedrooms; and renovating the front of the house to provide a gracious, functional entry sequence.

Roots Kitchens Bedrooms Bathrooms
A large bright family bathroom with modular furniture, free standing bath and large shower enclosure.
Bath + Kitchen
One of three bathrooms completed in this home. This bathroom serves as the guest bath, located on the first floor between the office/guest space and kitchen. Marble tiles and subtle green hues make a great impression and tie with the cool calming colors used on the first floor. Wall niches, hotel rack, and medicine cabinet help to maximize storage for guests without overcrowding the room. Wainscoting and decorative trim were paired with modern fixtures to marry traditional charm with contemporary feel.
Simply Home Decorating
When approaching this bathroom renovation we found the original floor tiles in excellent condition and they became the inspiration for the entire concept. We replaced the damaged wall tiles with white painted bead board and updated a clunky, poorly placed sink with this stunning wall mounted model by Porcher. The result is a classic bathroom with a nod to it's 1950's origins. Photo by Sue Bird
Absolute Project Management
A beautiful transformation journey from an old-fashioned spiritless bathroom to a refreshing bathroom. The bathroom has become much healthier and hygienic after the necessary damp survey, strip out, and repair works. The old carpet in the space was stripped out and changed with rather refreshing soft green floor tiles while soft green matt vertical wall tiles has been fitted. The harmonious flow of the tiles has added an organic and contemporary touch, looking very refreshing. Renovation by Absolute Project Management
