We designed this modern master spa-bath to be both relaxing and edgy. The focal point of the room is a 1/2" glass panel countertop painted on the back side featuring a stainless steel vanity sink. The finished surface is sleek, cool and totally custom. The cabinetry is by local maker MnM Cabinets with an ebonized stain on black walnut resulting in a deep chocolate finish. Other features include heated tile floors, Jacuzzi tub, and frameless glass shower enclosure. Photo By Nicks Photo Design

White walls and tile help make this bathroom bigger and brighter. Contemporary fixtures, a floating vanity with vessel sinks and the unique tub give the room a spa like feel. Adding dark tile to the corner shower helps set it apart and give it an accent wall. Adding a great indoor/outdoor rug gives the room texture and style without committing to a bold floor tile. Nestled into the trees, the simple forms of this home seem one with nature. Designed to collect rainwater and exhaust the home’s warm air in the summer, the double-incline roof is defined by exposed beams of beautiful Douglas fir. The Original plan was designed with a growing family in mind, but also works well for this client’s destination location and entertaining guests. The 3 bedroom, 3 bath home features en suite bedrooms on both floors. In the great room, an operable wall of glass opens the house onto a shaded deck, with spectacular views of Center Bay on Gambier Island. Above - the peninsula sitting area is the perfect tree-fort getaway, for conversation and relaxing. Open to the fireplace below and the trees beyond, it is an ideal go-away place to inspire and be inspired.

Home and Living Examiner said: Modern renovation by J Design Group is stunning J Design Group, an expert in luxury design, completed a new project in Tamarac, Florida, which involved the total interior remodeling of this home. We were so intrigued by the photos and design ideas, we decided to talk to J Design Group CEO, Jennifer Corredor. The concept behind the redesign was inspired by the client’s relocation. Andrea Campbell: How did you get a feel for the client's aesthetic? Jennifer Corredor: After a one-on-one with the Client, I could get a real sense of her aesthetics for this home and the type of furnishings she gravitated towards. The redesign included a total interior remodeling of the client's home. All of this was done with the client's personal style in mind. Certain walls were removed to maximize the openness of the area and bathrooms were also demolished and reconstructed for a new layout. This included removing the old tiles and replacing with white 40” x 40” glass tiles for the main open living area which optimized the space immediately. Bedroom floors were dressed with exotic African Teak to introduce warmth to the space. We also removed and replaced the outdated kitchen with a modern look and streamlined, state-of-the-art kitchen appliances. To introduce some color for the backsplash and match the client's taste, we introduced a splash of plum-colored glass behind the stove and kept the remaining backsplash with frosted glass. We then removed all the doors throughout the home and replaced with custom-made doors which were a combination of cherry with insert of frosted glass and stainless steel handles. All interior lights were replaced with LED bulbs and stainless steel trims, including unique pendant and wall sconces that were also added. All bathrooms were totally gutted and remodeled with unique wall finishes, including an entire marble slab utilized in the master bath shower stall. Once renovation of the home was completed, we proceeded to install beautiful high-end modern furniture for interior and exterior, from lines such as B&B Italia to complete a masterful design. One-of-a-kind and limited edition accessories and vases complimented the look with original art, most of which was custom-made for the home. To complete the home, state of the art A/V system was introduced. The idea is always to enhance and amplify spaces in a way that is unique to the client and exceeds his/her expectations. Grey Bathroom in Storrington, West Sussex Contemporary grey furniture and tiling combine with natural wood accents for this sizeable en-suite in Storrington. The Brief This Storrington client had a plan to remove a dividing wall between a family bathroom and an existing en-suite to make a sizeable and luxurious new en-suite. The design idea for the resulting en-suite space was to include a walk-in shower and separate bathing area, with a layout to make the most of natural light. A modern grey theme was preferred with a softening accent colour. Design Elements Removing the dividing wall created a long space with plenty of layout options. After contemplating multiple designs, it was decided the bathing and showering areas should be at opposite ends of the room to create separation within the space. To create the modern, high-impact theme required, large format grey tiles have been utilised in harmony with a wood-effect accent tile, which feature at opposite ends of the en-suite. The furniture has been chosen to compliment the modern theme, with a curved Pelipal Cassca unit opted for in a Steel Grey Metallic finish. A matching three-door mirrored unit has provides extra storage for this client, plus it is also equipped with useful LED downlighting. Special Inclusions Plenty of additional storage has been made available through the use of built-in niches. These are useful for showering and bathing essentials, as well as a nice place to store decorative items. These niches have been equipped with small downlights to create an alluring ambience. A spacious walk-in shower has been opted for, which is equipped with a chrome enclosure from British supplier Crosswater. The enclosure combines well with chrome brassware has been used elsewhere in the room from suppliers Saneux and Vado. Project Highlight The bathing area of this en-suite is a soothing focal point of this renovation. It has been placed centrally to the feature wall, in which a built-in niche has been included with discrete downlights. Green accents, natural decorative items, and chrome brassware combines really well at this end of the room. The End Result The end result is a completely transformed en-suite bathroom, unrecognisable from the two separate rooms that existed here before. A modern theme is consistent throughout the design, which makes use of natural highlights and inventive storage areas. Amazing transformation of this original 1940's bathroom to a modern and soothing spa bath. This couple is so happy to have a large shower, compact toilet and a floating vanity for storage. Updated everything with a heated towel rack and lighted medicine cabinet. DREAM...DESIGN...LIVE... We got around the challenge of the window in the shower by tiling all the way to it and adding much water proofing around the window frame. A beautiful sliding shower door makes the room complete. The key to making the space feel bigger was using 2 different tiles...one light and one dark. I used the same dark tile on the floor up the window wall in a vertical elongated pattern with the pan constructed of an oblong mosaic in the same color. Your eye is tricked to think the room is wider because of the white linen striped tile on the horizontal on the other 3 walls. It looks twice the size now.

After completing The Victoria Crest Residence we used this plan model for more homes after, because of it's success in the floorpan and overall design. The home offers expansive decks along the back of the house as well as a rooftop deck. Our flat panel walnut cabinets plays in with our clean line scheme. The creative process for our window layout is given much care along with interior lighting selection. We cannot stress how important lighting is to our company. Our wrought iron and wood floating staircase system is designed in house with much care. This open floorpan provides space for entertaining on both the main and upstair levels. This home has a large master suite with a walk in closet and free standing tub. Photography: Layne Freedle
