We kept the original cast iron tub for this bathroom and had it re-glazed. We used textured subway tile from Home Depot on the walls and a grey/ green mosaic on the floors.

Sato Architects, Inc.
Sato Architects was hired to update the kitchen, utility room, and existing bathrooms in this 1930s Spanish bungalow. The existing spaces were closed in, and the finishes felt dark and bulky. We reconfigured the spaces to maximize efficiency and feel bigger without actually adding any square footage. Aesthetically, we focused on clean lines and finishes, with just the right details to accent the charm of the existing 1930s style of the home. This project was a second phase to the Modern Charm Spanish Primary Suite Addition.

This was a complete full bath renovation in July 2020. This home was built in 1935, it’s located on Marion Ave, in Grant Park, Atlanta, Georgia. The client came to me wanting a complete makeover of the bathroom that combined aesthetics and utility. This house had been expanded in the past, and this bath was probably added at some point; because of the age of the home, I had no idea what to expect! The full bathroom has a tub, shower, vanity, and toilet, all nestled in 30 sq. foot of space. The client needed an update to include special accommodations for her aging parents; fixtures adjusted in height for the taller guests or people in her family; and most importantly, a more comfortable, updated environment.
This renovation was designed by Heidi Reis of Abode Agency LLC who serves clients in Atlanta including but not limited to Intown neighborhoods such as: Grant Park, Inman Park, Midtown, Kirkwood, Candler Park, Lindberg area, Martin Manor, Brookhaven, Buckhead, Decatur, and Avondale Estates.

This bungalow was sitting on the market, vacant. The owners had it virtually staged but never realized the furniture in the staged photos was too big for the space. Many potential buyers had trouble visualizing their furniture in this small home.
We came in and brought all the furniture and accessories and it sold immediately. Sometimes when you see a property for sale online and it is virtually staged, the client might not realize it and expects to see the furniture in the home when they visit. When they don't, they start to question the actual size of the property.
We want to create a vibe when you walk in the door. It has to start from the moment you walk in and continue throughout at least the first floor.
If you are thinking about listing your home, give us a call. We own all the furniture you see and have our own movers.

The client came to us looking for a bathroom remodel for their Glen Park home. They had two seemingly opposing interests—creating a spa getaway and a child-friendly bathroom.
The space served many roles. It was the main guest restroom, mom’s get-ready and relax space, and the kids’ stomping grounds. We took all of these functional needs and incorporated them with mom’s aesthetic goals.
First, we doubled the medicine cabinets to provide ample storage space. Rounded-top, dark metal mirrors created a soft but modern appearance. Then, we paired these with a wooden floating vanity with black hardware and a simple white sink. This piece brought in a natural, spa feel and made space for the kids to store their step stool.
We enveloped the room with a simple stone floor and white subway tiles set vertically to elongate the small space.
As the centerpiece, we chose a large, sleek tub and surrounded it in an entirely unique textured stone tile. Tactile and warm, the tile created a soothing, restful environment. We added an inset for storage, plenty of black metal hooks for the kids’ accessories, and modern black metal faucets and showerheads.
Finally, we accented the space with orb sconces for a starlet illusion.
Once the design was set, we prepared site measurements and permit drawings, sourced all materials, and vetted contractors. We assisted in working with vendors and communicating between all parties.
This little space now serves as the portfolio piece of the home.

We re-designed and renovated three bathrooms and a laundry/mudroom in this builder-grade tract home. All finishes were carefully sourced, and all millwork was designed and custom-built.
