Boosting light and bringing in plenty of warm, natural textures has taken this flat from cramped to cool and calm

“We defined the dining zone with a grid gallery wall featuring prints of San Francisco on one side, and a wooden console table showcasing a chic, coastal-themed vignette on the other. The dining chairs, embellished with woven details, add texture to the muted shell,” Sunita says.
The space features soft layers of light by way of the floor lamp, table lamp and brass sputnik light fixtures.
“The owner’s dream was to have an all-white kitchen. So we tore down the shell and started from scratch. We opted for a herringbone splashback, quartz worktop and Shaker-style cabinets in an all-white palette,” Sunita says.
“In addition, we incorporated open wooden shelves to give the space a swish spin. The kitchen also has a bijou utility zone at the far end, for laundry and storage.”
“We wanted to keep the space visually light, so we chose pieces that would be easy on the eye, such as the transparent globular table lamps, pastel paintings and soft fabrics,” Sunita says.
“We combined white and wood tones to balance the colour temperature. Here, the wood-finish vanity unit really stands out against the white backdrop,” Sunita says.
