Here is a "stone look" Armstrong product linoleum that will not compete with all the color of backsplash. It is slightly darker than the cabinets which will ground the room nicely. Agree that you probably don't need more tile lines.

Kitchen's suffer from extreme humidity variation, so you should fully adhere the solid or engineered flooring to avoid a bowing/warping floor in a few months time However, here's another viable option; luxury vinyl tiles (LVT). Generally, LVTs are 2.5mm thick, made from 100% pvc (therefore waterproof), come with a thick polyurethane wear layer that normally is backed up with a manufacturers warranty, with a wood or stone effect finish. LVTs are great with underfloor heating and unlike ceramics, they don't break when heavy objects are dropped on them and unlike wooden floors, once laid, LVTs need no further maintenance other than regular vacuuming and washing. LVTs are almost indestructible! There are many options available but us Flooring Gurus recommend going for a recognised brand. The whole idea about an LVT is for it to look authentic. They need to genuinely look like the wood or stone flooring they are mimicking. Cheap alternatives, when installed, look ... well ... awful! Try looking at Polyflor's Colonia and Camaro. You could create an ensuite by borrowing space from the second bedroom, accessing it from the master. I would create one large luxury family bathroom by joining the current bathroom and the adjoining room into one. If you don't want to lose a room, you could swap the purpose of the two rooms, creating a medium sized bathroom and a small box room/study (expensive for some benefit). Lastly, if you really want to maintain the number of rooms but gain a bigger bathroom, you could move the family bathroom to the bottom, right-hand room, if plumbing allows. Hope this helps.

Hello jkhmcd, Colours can largely depend on what you are buying appliance wise.. I always go for and suggest robust chrome.. Free standing chrome range, with Dualit toaster, it's the most beautiful toaster ever and an iconic piece of design.. and complimentary kettle .. Dualit do a nice one too called architect.. I have done a lot of consulting on what brands and best design so the dualit is an all time favourite!! I don't know what the spout is like on the kettle and you'd want to go and try it out maybe but there's a couple of my must haves.. Chrome for me makes a kitchen.. I'd move on to a chrome kitchenaid if baking is enjoyed.. For me it's on a big long list! One thing I do think is a no no... Coffee, tea and sugar canisters.. Personally I hate to see these things especially on the worktop.. .. I keep tea in the cupboard and coffee in the fridge.. Have things on show that are more functional, like a collection of wooden chopping boards, that sort of thing.. Minimal and sleek worktop keeps the kitchen looking really stylish.. Grey is a lovely colour, works with chrome and you could maybe team it with creams or darker colours if you like dark.. It's hard to suggest things here as I don't know if grey is on walls or cupboards or floor.. If you could say what is what, it's easier to advise.. For now thought... think Chrome!.. : ) )
