Our hardware that is nearly identical to what is pictured is nearly silent when opening and closing. The noise would come in with round or square track style doors with steel wheeled trolleys. These styles have more noise due to reverberation within the hollow track and steel on steel. With flat track (pictured above) the only noise would be any reverberation that goes through the trolleys into the door. But with a solid wood door, most of the vibration is absorbed.
