Hi, clearly with an island hob there is no splash-back, so you will need to consider whether this will be practical with the type of cooking you do. If you do a lot of frying you may find a hob against a wall will be better. Storage of oils in this instance is in a pull-out drawer unit designed for the purpose this is located directly below the hob.
