Comments (11)Sure you can, we do it all the time in rental properties. Old houses have windows in the showers and renters do not take care of tile. You just need the right saw and then tub trim. Not everyone can tile- it takes a lot of patience and a tile saw. And if you are not a DIYer naturally it can be a big mess. We have done a lot of repairs to walls from botched tile jobs. And hiring out is expensive. You say you have a small budget. Chances are with the look of the tile in the pic- you may have water damage already. Powdy, it all depends on your skill level and actual budget and what you find underneath you remove the tiles....See Moreour bathroom
Comments (1)Hi. I hope you don't mind me saying but removing one of the bathrooms may potentially devalue the property even if they are small. Removing the bath may also alienate any families when it comes to selling. Maybe check with an estate agent unless this isn't an issue for you. Have you thought about combining a bath with a really decent shower? Luxury hotels often do this. In terms of style, what is the rest of the house like? Look at the light in the room for colours, you can go dark but combine with really decent lighting. If you like blue, why not try navy and white maybe with some bright accessories? Navy is very on trend at the moment (and a classic bathroom colour!) but can't find a great bathroom image. I personally would go for something fairly classic with a couple of contemporary elements....See Moreneed help with window dressings for unusual window
Comments (11)I have to agree that glass film is brilliant- we used Purlfrost online. You can either pre measure and they will cut for you you or you can buy a piece and cut to your own specs. It arrives rolled in a tube. We've done two rooms- the living room with full frost and the other, a bedroom- with just the bottom half of the window covered which looks pretty modern and sharp. It was supposed to be a temporary solution till we got shutters organised but it looks so effective and fresh that we've decided to save the small fortune that shutters cost! The help line was great- they recommended leaving a gap around the edge near the frame for a beveled glass effect which did actually work! You can get different levels of opaqueness - we used the less opaque for more light but still private- or patterns or stained glass effect. Its really easy to apply yourself too, and apparently comes off with no damage to the glass at all, so good if. Works out really economical as well. Can you tell I'd recommend it?! :)...See Morecabinet colour confusion...Help
Comments (12)I do love drainpipe grey but particularly love it with the contrast of white marble countertop and a white Belfast sink. With wooden countertops I love the blue greys and greys with a hint of green. Your kitchen is already looking gorgeous so maybe you'd prefer a lighter grey like Farrow and Ball French gray, lamp room gray or blue gray as the photos below. I think you can't go wrong with Farrow and Ball greys, we went for 'light gray' in our kitchen and we love it....See MoreKelly
