Window colour dilemma

Hi all, we have a late 1970’s fake cotswold stone house in desperate need of new windows. We really dont want to replace with white bit are stuck between anthracite to contrast or cream to compliment the stone. does anybody have a reconstituted stone house with either of these colour windows please?

My house is reconstituted Bath stone and I have white windows, with an anthracite grey front door and cladding on my garage conversion. But I think Cotswold stone looks nice with agate grey (Painswick) windows.

Can you share a picture of the front of your house. My heart does sink a bit when I hear anthracite grey windows when there are so many other shades you can use. Are you looking for pvc windows?

I think you have 2 choices 1) change paint colour 2) get drapes that have cream, white and black in them something like these I like the print one because it uses what you have but introduces another color to use for accessories etc.

Taupe would look lovely with the black trim, also. You can go as light or dark as you like, but I like a medium tone. Paint a sample on the wall before purchasing the large amount needed to paint the entire house.

Hi Kate, you may not be allowed to plaster the dash as sometimes house fronts are protected. For colour try Indian yellow from Farrow and Ball. This strong colour is associated with your style of house and has the advantage or drawing the attention away from the dash and onto the lighter colours. ie. windows and doors. To save costs Farrow and Ball colours can be mixed into other branded outdoor paints.

Maybe an L shaped, with no back on one part of the L, this backless part in front of the windows so the view/light isn't blocked. Its hard to tell if you can fit a 2 seater in as opening to RT would be blocked also... so maybe 2 neater comfy chairs ...you might fit a love seat in. Sometimes a skinny console table with a lamp etc is nice to have against the back of the sofa as it can help define the 2 different areas.. just my thoughts. I think that's concrete floor? you can draw your dimensions before you buy to see if they'll work..

Thanks both. Picture added. as you can see its not exactly a character property and the whole street is the same type of brick/stone and all have white windows which i really do not like at all.

I wouldn't have either, I would have a greyed yelllow green. It would complement the stone. Something like Shaded White. I'll try to find out from instagram who has a similar house with similar windows. Basically you need a grey that contains some yellow for it to blend.
