bathroom layout and measurements

Hello, can you please advise on best bathroom layout? The attached has been recommended by the architect.
Also, can you recommend what sizes the parts should be? My thinking:

offset quadrant shower (the photo shows a pentagonal) 900 x 800
wall hung basin with vanity unit 600mm wide
toilet tbd
500mm towel rail on the wall between shower and door

Personally I don’t think the space is big enough. Is this going to be used everyday? If so I think having to shimmy through the door will make it feel badly thought out, the tiny basin will be annoying and the space for the loo feel claustrophobic.

So if it’s a well used Ensuite then consider if it can be made bigger. If it can’t then get rid of the shower and just have a wc, a basin and decent vanity and accept showering elsewhere.

If it’s going to get used for an occasional guest then I would make the compromise on the shower tray size and have one that is 1400x700 and thereby create more shoulder room for the WC

Thank you Jonathan, how can a 1400 x 700 shower tray fit? I was thinking about a 900x760

We have made room for an en-suite shower room to our guest room we went for the largest shower cubicle we could reasonably fit in. Found the nicest white tiles to make the best of the space. Fitted bifold shower screen feeling the space was too small for a wet room( too much drying off of the fittings and paddling water beyond the area). toilet opposite, and sacrificed on the basin, just a small wash hand basin. Our thinking being that these days people tend to shower rather than wash and the smaller basin works well for teeth cleaning and hand washing. it works well. Hope yours will too.

Buy a space saver wc and the basin should be as small as you can cope with- given the available space I would be looking for a wall hung, cloakroom basin that is between 20cm-25cm deep with the tap on the side. To avoid sharp corners to catch your hip on I would try and find a curved one.
