living room seating dilemma

Is it possible to have 3 accent chairs in a living room?
I want to add a seating in my living room but not sure if a third accent chair will look good

Hi Neha,

Are you adding more chairs to provide extra seating? Have you considered a small sofa or love seat as this may help to balance the sofa you already have and feel more robust than the chairs you currently have.

I prefer accent chairs with arms. You could certainly add another one if you wanted. As you have quite a lot of upholstery I would use something different like rattan or wood.

Just a quick note to thank you all for sharing your thought, ideas, experience and time. I especially want to thank Bluenan and decoenthusiaste for being with me through the all process for the last 6 months or so..., just wanted to post few photos of the results (https://www.houzz.com/discussions/any-ideas-for-final-touches-to-this-living-dinning-room-dsvw-vd~569586) as I feel it is not only me who created this space but it is your creations as much as mine. It may not be perfect or according to the the "Rules", but it is Me and my family. Each and every piece was chosen by me in different parts of the world and each one of them has a unique story behind. I am very pleased with my space. I love it! I am very blessed. .... and so I am off to my new project now... Back to school.... that's really going to be hard ;) Thank you all, once again.

I have a dilemma with wallpaper. There is a 3 seater dark navy sofa with matching chaired, a wooden fireplace surround and a bay window in the room. The fireplace and skirting boards are going to be painted cream. I don't know what wallpaper to put on the fireplace wall to warm up the room a bit. Main colour scheme is silvery grey paint, very dark couch and chairs and black. Photos attached.

I agree - paint or paper the chimney breast in that burgundy/red shade of the fire surround tiling. Your curtains are lovely - methinks I'd be choosing a throw to match for the sofa + chairs, and I see you already have red cushions to accessorise.
