Bathrooms Smaller Homes Renovating

I just got this flat (5th floor) and need to do up the bathroom. I intend to keep same layout. I am torn between taking out the bath tub or installing a walk in shower. I want a modern look. I would appreciate design ideas and products to get as I intend to install new bathroom fixtures.
The bathroom is 1.67m by 2.01m. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

My instinct is to replace the bath with a huge walk-in shower. Are there likely to be children living in the house in which case removing the bath is not the best idea. Is this property for you to live in or will it be used as a rental? If you do go for the shower option make sure you have a hand held shower as well as an overhead. I would definitely try and build in some storage or at least chose a bathroom vanity with drawers under the basin. The master bedroom is large I would consider moving the bathroom wall to incorporate the built in cupboard as that would give you more room to play with. There looks to be enough space in the master bedroom to build a new wardrobe further forward of the door, infront of the current wardrobe if you will.

It small But your cabin sink unit is a good idea as you have storage space and it looks neat. I have changed my bath many times to shower unit and it has leaked every time, some times it has been the plumbers fault or bad design then it was a visitor who let the water spill while showering the last time it flooded the insurers wanted the bathroom TANKED! meaning waterproof walls and floors. This is done by an experienced plumber contractor of repute! as the insurers said too many claims from too many people with bad waterproofing. the insurer said they would not insure again or any other clients who had not got their bathroom water proofed by expert plumber fitters. SO I have gone back to the Bath with a shower enclosed and found it tops for waterproof.
