Galley kitchen layout

Hi, we have a long (approximately 7.5 m), narrow (2.4 m wide) galley kitchen. On the one side, we have the kitchen and the other side we have a dining area.

I’ve included a layout of the kitchen, please let me know if you think I should make any changes. The butler sink units under the window will be bench seating. We won’t have tiling as per the picture but will have quartz up stands. I’ve thought about an integrated fridge freezer, but we are quite a big family and the inside of those fridges just seem quite small.
I’m thinking about the light coloured porcelain floor tile, approximately 60 cm x 60 cm or 90 cm x 90 cm.
Any advice gratefully received! Which obviously like to make the space feel a spacious as possible

It looks lovely but a bit confused where the FF is? What are the appliances on the sink run in order?

A herringbone floor can make a room feel wider and wood would add warmth. Perhaps you could consider a pedastel table so you could push it against the bench when not in use? Perhaps a couple of shelves in the unit colour to the right of the sink for cups/glasses etc to free up a little cupboard space? A mirror at the dining end where the art is should make the space feel wider and reflect the garden

Personally not a fan of draining grooves as they collect crumbs and the water sits. I might personally go for less contrast on the walls with the unit colour to make it feel wider, you could always use a darker tone on the bench on that short wall

Thanks so much for your advice. The fridge freezer is on the right, as you enter the room. On the left, the running order of units are as follows:
Tumble dryer/washing machine/Belfast sink/dishwasher/pull-out bin
These are all 600 wide
Great idea about the shelves as we don’t have much cupboard space!
We are thinking of going dark green or navy for the bench seating. We actually have a dining table there at the moment, that seats six, so we will be pushing the rectangular dining table closer to the bench.

Hi Fran.I think the hand-drawn design is fabulous as 1.You did not put a hob or tap in the island.....this in my opinion leads to lovely clean lines in a kitchen. 2.This design gives more space in a kitchen which is what you want. 3.I LOVE the wedge shape WITH seating. I saw one similar in a kitchen designed by Savvy Kitchens and loved it. 4. I noticedyou had drawn 2 little chairs and a little circular table also. Fab!! I love the idea of a seperate little zone near light to read/relax/enjoy garden view. Anyway...the best of luck with whichever plan you decide to follow.👍

Hello, i hope you can offer some advise on this. i am planning on adding an open plan kitchen/living/dining to the rear of my house. i really love the idea of a wall of units and long island, however i would also like a walk in pantry and am unsure if the space is too tight. there is nothing finalised yet so all windows and the shown pantry wall are movable. unfortunately the walls to the left of where the pantry is show are the current external walls and are not movable. all advise is appreciated. also which would you recommend Range or double ovens? The fridge looks as if it sits proud of the units but I’m not sure it will open that way and enable you to take the drawers out? I’d also consider a white fridge or have it vinyl wrapped (pictured) to blend with the units or wall. You can also get taller integrated ones, not sure if you’ve looked into that re capacity?

Ignore that, I was looking at the pic but can see on the plan you’ve left a gap between fridge and wall!! Sorry, houzz is not making adding comments easy today, it’s a word a minute!
