Window colour and tudor board help
Hi, I'm looking to change my windows and doors but not a fan of rosewood. Any suggestions what would work? Thinking i could change the tudor board but limited on colours or get rid of them all together and re render the first floor.

9 months agoRosewood is very dated so a simple white would look classic. You could paint the render white and the wooden boards maybe a pale grey or taupe. Bit like this

Need help with redesigning front of house
Comments (10)Thanks for the feedback, we had something similar in mind. Would you suggest bringing the door out to the front? What about the windows either side, we would think about replacing maybe in a different colour, possibly grey, and add some cedar cladding to the house front and paint walls grey. We are also toying with the idea of bring double doors out to the front with arclight over head and then to add coving around the windows with arc that mirrors the arc light to try and soften the whole angular look to to the front. Comments (30)Melissa, when I said footboard, I meant this. It has a portion of the bed that extends beyond the mattress edge. You posted a bed that had something at the foot section of the bed. By platform, I mean a bed that has a hard area and only a mattress on it. Like this. It does not extend beyond the edge of the mattress, but does not have a box spring. It is also lower to the ground. The picture you posted was a high profile bed and box spring. It was not on a typical bed frame. A standard bed frame, used with box spring and mattress looks like this. Virtually invisible and does not extend out beyond the mattress/box spring set. That being said, I'd recommend you get a headboard that is not too big for your space. Neither in height or depth (distance from the wall). I would also not get a mattress frame that extends beyond the size of the mattress. Sorry to have not been clear before....See MoreChris Gill

mock up with white and taupe, not the best photoshop would take a while to get white good over the rosewood.

9 months agoFor me the absence of a top fanlight on your windows makes them look less detailed. Often windows are one of the few architectural features of a modern built house and so I would want the replacements to be more detailed.
