Comments (6)Hi Bernice, Congrats on your new kitchen ! Your new kitchen looks very nice. Very clean, simple, sleek design. Either #2 grey or #3 Cream would work nicely. The cream would make your kitchen feel lighter, brighter; it is very pretty, not bland at all. Comments (3)Hot pots should stay on the stove, on a stone/metal trivet or on a thick butcher block that can be scorched and put away. The heat from hot pots and pans can discolor whatever is on/in the granite (sealers, cooking oil in the porous surface), cause seams to open on engineered stone and solid surface tops. Comments (0)what blue shade would work in North facing kitchen, with a strong warm toned hardwood maple floor? I'd like to pick warm blue that's isn't too on trend. Any advice on a budget counter top replacement please? I'm thinking with a dark blue, like F&B hague Blue, or lighter like stone blue or lighter again.... without being too grey looking. 10 months agoThere are people who cover worktops with vinyl, so was thinking a double laminate worktop covered in a new vinyl all over? I doubted how hardwearing it is but there are different qualities and most are pretty hardwearing. They even wrap cars! I’m clutching at straws here but worth looking at………

10 months agoHi, what if you built a frame to your desired height, backstep it by around 2cm from the front of the existing unit, paint the frame black, install an LED trim around and then put new worktops on set to the usual depth a very easy way of a floating worktop look and would add some extra lighting. Sorry for the bad drawing and not to scale.
